- The art association MEDEA stands for initiative media-work and integration into new fields of art. MEDEA understands art as treatment of social surfaces, which are formed by concrete humans. In this sense art refers to concrete human interests and feeds themselves from these. Participants are migrants and Austrians; approximately a group of 28 persons and about 160 user take part. Borders between art, media, social, integration, politic, and education are consciously not drawn, work practice negate the static organization of initiative into individual social fields.
- The center for Gender Studies and woman support GendUp initiated a film project, into which students threw a view into their academic subject Gender Studies. The shortfilm settles in the category of the documentary film and is marked by numerous stylistic characteristics of the experimental film. Dekonstruktion, experiment and interdisciplinarity are brought up for discussion not only as substantial characteristics of Gender Studies, but are distinguishing marks of the cinematic work. I.e. self reflection of the filming, experiments in the public area and documentary reporting change with interviews and hardfacts about sex and gender. Experimental features of the videoart and animations liven interview sequences and observations up.
- We are all regularly posing to recording cameras without knowing or noticing. Banks, travel agencies, shops, and public buildings; all of them are equipped with surveillance cameras; of course, just for "our security". The question is why are these cameras there and whether the predetermined reasons are really justifying the surveillance of you and me. What is this surveillance for? Who is using this monitoring? Do the known, told, pretended reasons justify the constant surveillance of human beings? To question of monitoring people in the public areas (how far do they feel safe because of the increasing surveillance or does it work in the opposite way...) is so interesting as questioning the supervisors: "What do you want to see?"
- The view of the city varies depending upon the point of view and his continual shifts. Lyric thoughts of women of different origin are subtitled by city photographs. View shifts bring up for discussion, both the uncanny cleanliness of Austrian building sites, and the Danube as area for memories of life at the sea and changed body consciousness in strange areas.
- Allez Allez is a tour de force through film history. Allez Allez - french for "come on!" Along the tokem. Allong the différance. sveltezza. A tokem is a cinematic indication, that differs, its meaning changes over the years. This change is the so called différance. Sveltezza. Keep on mobile in reading films. The animation is made of the first moving pictures in film history - made by Eadweard Muybridge. He experimented with fotography and the possibility of movement starting in the 1880s. His "movies" inspirated artists during the years untill now, e.g. Marcel Duchamp: Nude Descending a Staircase.
