- De Slimste Mens (ter wereld) (translation: "the smartest human/person in the world) is a trivia gameshow, in which famous Dutch people need to answer trivia questions correctly, with three people competing each episode. For every question they anwser correctly, they gain seconds, that tick away during the time the questions are asked. There are several different rounds, for example, a puzzle round and a round with pictures about a certain topic. The two people with the least amount of seconds go into the final round, in which each question anwered correctly reduces the amount of seconds of the opponent. The finalist that has no seconds left loses, and can not return to the next episide. In the final week the best players compete against each other, and "the smartest person" wins.

The show ends with each of the remaining contestants being reunited with their loved ones, and a short interview a month later.
