- Local Hillbilly Icon Daniel Boone Owen has gone missing in Appalachia. He was last seen facedown in his favorite watering hole, Scatterbrain's, and the theories behind his disappearance are as numerous as they are hilarious. The predominant theory--alien abduction--is supported by local nut Pooter Brown, who claims to personally have been abducted every Christmas Eve for the past 16 years. After spanning the Carolina Appalachians, the story ends with a shocker you must see to believe.
- A despondent, alcoholic former writer for the "Miami Herald" finds himself face-down in a South Beach bar when a newsflash featuring his hometown, Indian Camp Mountain, North Carolina catches his eye. Apparently, Bigfoot sightings are rampant in that area. In a moment of clarity, he decides to head home to report the story in an effort to reconnect with his roots, resurrect his career,, and repair his relationship with his estranged father, the sheriff. What he doesn't know is that his friends have concocted a story to help this former award-winning reporter re-establish his career. In the process he reconnects, then disconnects, with reality in a hysterically-funny yet dramatic midnight movie that will not be forgotten for a long time after its 71st minute. Join award-winning director/writer/actor Bubba Cromer for this first feature-length movie filmed on location in the Appalachian Mountains. The cast will leave the viewer chuckling at the realization that very little acting is going on here--this is The Real McCoy. From Mona Lisa Johnson to Miss Romaine, experience the hilarious and the dramatic in one film. Bubba has outdone himself in capturing both the flavor of this small mountain town and the mystique surrounding the legend of Bigfoot.
