There are a lot of positive messages about sustainability and environmental awareness, but there are also regular animated fight scenes featuring laser guns, swords, and scythe-like weapons. The show examines where our food comes from, and that doesn't only include plant matter -- there are references to eating animals, and one animated sequence depicts an imaginary species of space creature trapped in what is supposed to mimic a factory farm, where animals are overcrowded and mistreated. Nothing graphic is shown, but parents may want to be prepared to answer follow-up questions about these kinds of practices.

- The children in the park invite Barney to join them for a race. BJ and Baby Bop show him several ways to get ready for the big race by warming up and stretching. When BJ starts to feel sick after eating too many sweets, he lies down. Dreaming about a land where he eats as many sweets as he wants, BJ ends up with a big stomachache. Glad it was just a dream; BJ realizes he wants a healthy snack.
- When Riff ends up losing his lucky medal, he thought he won't be able to play games at the Shapes Carnival in the park. Barney and his friends show Riff he doesn't need his medal to have fun. After it rains, Baby Bop spies a beautiful rainbow. When the others come to see it...it's gone. Baby Bop is very disappointed, so Barney and the others paint their own rainbow. When it starts to rain again, the homemade rainbow collapses and gets it all ruined! Luckily, the real life beautiful rainbow appears again!
- Jamal has never danced before and is too shy to try. On the day of the big dance party, Barney and his friends introduce Jamal to many kinds of dances from hip hop to Native American to ballet. - When Baby Bop's snacks are eaten, detective BJ helps her find which animal is the culprit. Barney sees Riff protecting a nest full of duck eggs. They leave the eggs to look for food for when the ducklings arrive. When they return, Riff is pleasantly surprised to find the eggs have cracked open and the baby ducklings have hatched!
- An ordinary game of "hide and seek" takes a not-so-ordinary turn when Baby Bop claims that an elephant is hiding in the park! Barney and Riff are happy to play along, but BJ thinks that his sister may be "seeing things." Then, BJ and Riff have a friendly contest to see which of them can find the loudest sound in the park.
- BJ, Baby Bop and Riff can hardly wait for the petting farm to come to the park. Barney helps them pass the time by teaching them about the days of the week. When the farm petting animals finally arrive, everyone realizes that it was worth the wait! Riff feels terrible when he accidentally wrecks BJ's beloved scooter! Riff and Baby Bop decide to have a sale in the park to raise money to buy BJ a new scooter.
- When Riff can't find his drumsticks anywhere, Barney magically recreates neighborhood spots to help refresh Riff's memory. Then Barney helps Baby Bop explore many different jobs. At the end of the day, Baby Bop has several different careers to consider for when she grows up. But for now, she's happy just being three!
