Soheila, a woman whose husband is executed in prison for murder, is sexually assaulted by her brother-in-law after her husband's death. On the night when Soheila and her baby daughter are planning to escape from Tehran (the capital city of Iran), her brother-in-law comes to her house, and they get into a drunken fight with Soheila. Escaping from his hands, Soheila runs to the rooftop of the building - the brother-in-law loses his balance and is thrown down from the building. Soheila is arrested, and the husband's family demands revenge. A court is convened, and Soheila is sentenced to death penalty.
