Meanwhile, Valerie secretly decides to pursue Dylan after finding Brenda's mementos of him in the Walsh's garage, and hides her connection to the Walshes from him.

Meanwhile, Dylan asks Gina to move out of his hotel suite and into another one because he not only wants space but also because she keeps spending his money. Matt's announcement of his cautious view of marriage angers Kelly, who believes in lifelong commitment. Meanwhile, while representing a woman who wants out of her 15-year marriage at all costs, Matt's belief in his failed marriage increased. David's date, Robyn, joins him on his radio show to discuss their date and its aftereffects on-air. Noah's attitude toward Donna and the others changes when he hosts a new band for the After Dark and he learns that the band leader's cousin was Wayne.
- During Presidents' Weekend, the gang goes to Palm Springs, where Dylan and Brenda plan to meet at a hotel for some time alone. But Brenda forgets the name of the hotel where she's supposed to meet Dylan. Meanwhile, David, wanting to fit in with the gang, ditches Scott and their trip to Magic Mountain to take Steve, Kelly and Donna to his grandparents' house, which is supposed to be empty. And Brandon stays home to help Nat at the Peach Pit, and discovers a secret that an apparently sarcastic boy named Curtis has been hiding.
- Brandon is given the request of escorting Lily, Joan's wild and crazy teenage daughter, prior to hers and Nat's wedding, which has a sudden change of venue when a very pregnant Joan goes into labor. Meanwhile, Kelly volunteers to do community service work at an AIDS hospice and befriends Jimmy Gold, a gay AIDS patient whom she is assigned to work with. David moves in with Mark at his house in the Hollywood Hills and later becomes discouraged when he learns of MZA's decision to dismiss him. Also, Valerie is frustrated when Kenny's wife suddenly shows up, disrupting their romantic plans.
- Brenda and Brandon are dateless for the Senior Prom. A school announcement is made that any student caught at Senior Prom drinking, intoxicated or with illicit drugs will be suspended from school and prevented from graduating. Footballer Tony Miller asks Brenda to prom on the day of the event, and Andrea asks Brandon at the last moment after her date, Jordan Bonner, gets ill. Steve takes Celeste Lundey, while Dylan naturally goes with Kelly. Donna doesn't eat all day so that she will fit into her prom dress. She is hit harder by pre-prom champagne than the rest of the gang, appears to be drunk at prom, and ends up collapsing in front of Mrs Teasley.
