- When she receives a text message from her best friend Wen Yan, Jun Xiang (Jesseca Liu) fails to stop her from committing suicide on the day of her wedding. Questions start to arise after her death when rumours of Wen Yan being involved in an affair with a university professor spread on the Internet. After repeatedly failing to clinch a job at any of the reputable law firms, Jun Xiang sinks into depression until Wen Chang Yu (Tender Huang) recruits her into his law firm. To her surprise, her first client is her university professor, Chen Ting Zhong, who confesses to being blackmailed about his affair with Wen Yan. Chang Yu assembles a team of individuals with their own set of special skills and manages to nail the blackmailer who is revealed to be John, a former student of Ting Zhong. As the firm takes on more cases, Jun Xiang and Chang Yu begin to develop feelings for each other and the pair eventually gets together. However, Jun Xiang's father is revealed to be involved in money laundering. Forced to choose between family and justice, how will she make her choice and what will become of her relationship with Chang Yu?
- Renowned magician James is invited to star in new variety Magic Go Live. Promo Dept's senior manager Irene gathers her team to discuss the show's direction, and although everyone doesn't seem to care much, they are actually all preparing to impress. In the end, an idea by new member Ming for James to pay tribute to other magicians and say the catchphrase "Miracles exist" comes out tops. Others slam Ming for the idea. Irene meets Ming privately and regrets that Ming did not persist with her idea during the meeting. Ming goes to persuade James to take her idea, not knowing it's already been accepted, as Lawrence, a senior executive, also wants the idea. Casper meets Ming for the first time and begins to like her, especially for her determination. Irene is surprised when Ming manages to persuade James. In a twist of fate, on the day of the show's press conference, the dove used crashes and dies on the spot. The media makes a fuss of it and the show's sponsors are unhappy. James insists on using video for the show, to the dismay of Ming. Due to her opposition, he challenges her to break one of his tricks. If she succeeds, he'll give in. With her perseverance, she does it. Irene is wary of James' promise, and true to her suspicions, he not only releases a dove on the day of the performance, the dove 'dies' onstage.

They also encounter Zeng Mei Wei (Yahui Xu), who is fighting to fulfill her dream of becoming a chef, Gordon (George Young), a celebrity chef who threatens to destroy their reputation and Tai Hu (Teng Lee), Tai Long's jealous elder brother who aims to sabotage his brother's happiness. The loyalty and newfound success of H.O.T will be tested with the return of demons from their pasts.
