- Published weekly since 1975, Soap Opera Digest is one of U.S.'s premiere entertainment magazines and the best selling soap magazine.

- For the first year the awards voting is entirely conducted on-line. Over 100,000 fans cast their vote.
2005
- This year's awards were not aired on network or cable television. Instead, they were announced in the Feb. 22 edition of Soap Opera Digest.
