"The bucket list" meets "Thelma and Louis" - Some of the comedic impact is lost in translation, but it's hard not to sympathize with the lead characters.

Director: Emir Kusturica | Stars: Johnny Depp, Jerry Lewis, Faye Dunaway, Lili Taylor
Votes: 45,567 | Gross: $0.11M
A disconnected effort to portray characters who have little to say! This film seems to be an attempt to bring the complexities (and simplicity) of the human spirit to the uninspired North American audience. The use of abstract scenarios to communicate how the human mind can warp our perception when confronted with difficult emotions, fails to achieve this goal. Overall, this film gives the impression that a fascinating story fell into the commercialization machine of Hollywood.

Director: Mikael Håfström | Stars: Colin O'Donoghue, Anthony Hopkins, Ciarán Hinds, Alice Braga
Votes: 102,461 | Gross: $33.05M
Hummm....Did Anthony Hopkins really need the $? A very poor attempt to use the subject of "demonic possession" to demonstrate how the "American Dream" conquers all! As a non "All American Boy",the core message of "faith conquers all", misses the mark on all points. An excellent performance by the Toad! This is a good example of how to take a true story and turn it into a film that will not distract from texting in the cinema.

A wonderful animation that provides insight into the relationship and bonding between a man and his (lover) dog. Humorous, with a unique approach, this film ranks among the top non-Hollywood animations. At times, one wonders if the story is from the mans perspective or that of the dog!

An excellent French Quebec film that takes us out of the normal expectations of a films story-line. The film provides an interesting look at the impacts of the multiculturism of Montreal. How people can judge a person without knowing their life experiences...a lesson that should be acknowledged by many.

Anthony oh Anthony....if Mr Hopkins was not a lead character, this film might of worked. Made in 2010 but has the feel that it was dated before release.
