actor, actresses and directors that kept me away from the movies

I saw The Prowler just the other day and that was quite good. But this director has really done a lot of BORING stuff.

So full of himself, which would be quite OK if you were Ossie Davies or Yaphet Kotto but it's not OK if you are this guy. Has so obviously been LAUNCHED by somebody powerful, that it is painful. Avoid.

Would almost have missed Closer because of her. She was quite good in that. Otherwise - stay away.

Daddylonglegs indeed. Phony or a bad actor? I don't know and I don't care. Dull.

Most unfunny. Reminds me of everything that is bad. Promoted by power, no doubt. Very bad vibes.

Extremely boring. No charisma at all. Cannot get even really upset about him. I just avoid.

Always looked as if he had wet his pants, or worse. Good as traitor, though, which proves that there were good producers about. Played traitor in Ice-cold In Alec and Operation Crossbow. I should not be too hard on him, however. Except when he played a hero, which has been blocked out from my memory. Was a swine of a minister in Murder By Decree, which was just perfect for him.

8MM was OK. Otherwise one wonders who pays for the garbage he turns out.

Often in bad films. If I don't no for sure what film it is or what I can expect, then I avoid if she is in it.

Was in some cop-tv-series that aired all the time as if the men in power wanted to thrust in down our throats. I switched channel. Seems stupid - that's all.

Up to no good. Wooden and dull. Seemed to obey whatever power was in power. However, very convincing as crook in The Killers, also starring Lee Marvin.

Director of very unpleasant and extremely opportunist films. Full of lies and mischief of the very dull kind. Avoid at all costs.

Trainspotting OK, otherwise unpleasant. Champion of capitalist society, which he tries to disguise.

Could anyone explain Bottle Rocket to me? And while you're at it, try to explain any of the other movies of this pajazzo!

In Swedish there is a word called "Babbel", a kind of talk that in English is called "horses-t".

Avoid, avoid, avoid! Worse than Abbas K. Had me fooled more than once! The way I see it, this guy owes me money!

Destroyed many westerns. Not as smart as he believed. Not as funny as he believed. How often did I not think: How Good this western would have been if someone else, almost anybody else, would have played the lead instead of this clown.

In so many outstanding movies, that would have been better still if somebody else would have starred in them.

No charisma at all. Boring. Dull. Full of nothing.

As singer OK. As actress - no, please. And that is not because of the nose and instead of the way her films turned out = dull mainstream.

So full of nothing! Still, where is The Naked Ape hiding?

Often dull in his early years. Much better later.

Sometimes in good films - but not because of him. Mostly wooden and dull.

His father was the sympathetic Jean-Pierre Cassel. You can see from the features that this is his son but there the similarities end. Unpleasant and simple in his ways. Would not trust him as far as I could through - which isn't very far, I admit. As bad guy quite OK.

Seems to be so very stupid. Couldn't find a good role, even if it ran over him. Trouble is, that one of these days somebody's else with find that role for him and then a movie will be destroyed.

Always make me think of that expression "White Trash". I do not much wonder why. Should have been named "Kevin" to make the picture complete.

Has made one good movie with John Woo, I think. That's it.

Committed "Pretty Woman" to celluloid. For this crime alone, this man should be avoided. Having sought him out, I now know why Mork and Mindy stunk so much. Lies upon lies.

Was it not because he was a Jew, a Black Man and had lost an eye, I do not think this man would have had a career to talk about. Never went to see a film because he was in it.

Was in many good films but not because of him. How much better would not all these films had been if they had been played by another actor - any actor (except those on this list, of course)!

France's biggest B-S-artist. Sang bad, acted ditto and was dull. Looked extreme but that does not save the day in his case. Avoid.

Another BS-artist on which France seems to have specialized. At times even unpleasant. Avoid.

He too was in many good films that would have been so much better without him. What a phony!

Boy, this man must have contacts! Terrible music, terrible everything. How he ever could have a career is beyond my understanding if I was to believe in market economy. Since I do not believe there ever existed such a thing and that everything instead is built on conspiracies, open and hidden, I have no problem to explain this man's success. Good contacts, that's all.

Didn't know you could go this far back in time! Wow, now I'm in business again! This man must be the biggest con man in human history. He was able to make the English language sing, sing without content, but sing. I've heard wonderful interpretations of his texts but when you look at the text in questions you understand that these interpretations are imaginations and nothing else. This man did not have any profundity! But he did have a way with words and was not totally devoid of analysis just like other con men aren't either. "It seems to me, this man protests too much" - that could be a Shakespearean original, proving that it takes one to know one.
