The worst movies I've ever seen(in no particular order)

by WickedEyes | created - 14 Mar 2012 | updated - 08 Nov 2014 | Public

This is only my opinion! Let me know if you agree or disagree. I did not add the "so bad they're good" type of movies like "Plan Nine From Outer Space." These movies were just BAD to me.

35 Metascore

Director: Michael Bay | Stars: Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson

Votes: 428,283 | Gross: $402.11M

About half of the "characters" and plot could have been edited out of this convoluted mess. They tried to do way to much with the plot and it wasn't working.

2. Street Fighter (1994)

PG-13 | 102 min | Action, Adventure, Comedy

34 Metascore

Director: Steven E. de Souza | Stars: Jean-Claude Van Damme, Raul Julia, Ming-Na Wen, Damian Chapa

Votes: 75,268 | Gross: $33.42M

This is the only movie I have ever seen where immediately after it was over I had no idea what the plot was.

3. Blank Check (1994)

42 Metascore

After a bike accident, a young boy inadvertently gains possession of a check for $1 million and proceeds to spend it, unaware that the gangsters it belongs to are in pursuit.

Director: Rupert Wainwright | Stars: Brian Bonsall, Karen Duffy, James Rebhorn, Jayne Atkinson

Votes: 22,102 | Gross: $30.58M

Movie do not have to be "realistic" for me to like them, but they do have to have some logic in the world created by the story. This movie had no semblance of logic whatsoever.

4. Event Horizon (1997)

R | 96 min | Horror, Sci-Fi, Thriller

35 Metascore

A rescue crew is tasked with investigating the mysterious reappearance of a spaceship that had been lost for seven years.

Director: Paul W.S. Anderson | Stars: Laurence Fishburne, Sam Neill, Kathleen Quinlan, Joely Richardson

Votes: 197,052 | Gross: $26.67M

Started off good with an interesting concept, then went way off the deep end and not in a good way. It got so "weird" that it was annoying.

16 Metascore

A young woman who was missing reappears, but she claims to be someone else entirely.

Director: Chris Sivertson | Stars: Lindsay Lohan, Julia Ormond, Neal McDonough, Bonnie Aarons

Votes: 30,882 | Gross: $7.50M

This movie was made when Lindsay Lohan had somewhat of a career. What the hell was her agent thinking?

6. Showgirls (1995)

NC-17 | 128 min | Drama

23 Metascore

A mysterious young drifter who calls herself Nomi Malone hitches a ride to Las Vegas, Nevada, and begins working as a strip club dancer, and sets about clawing her way to the top of the Vegas showgirls.

Director: Paul Verhoeven | Stars: Elizabeth Berkley, Kyle MacLachlan, Gina Gershon, Glenn Plummer

Votes: 74,594 | Gross: $20.30M

Jesse Spano.. noooo!!! I said that because words can't really describe how bad this movie is.

Director: Paul Michael Glaser | Stars: Shaquille O'Neal, Francis Capra, Ally Walker, James Acheson

Votes: 25,647 | Gross: $18.88M

Infamous, horrible, and really as bad as people say. Your children deserve better entertainment this this boring crap.

8. Glitter (2001)

Director: Robert Iscove | Stars: Kelly Clarkson, Justin Guarini, Katherine Bailess, Anika Noni Rose

Votes: 27,017 | Gross: $4.92M

Absolutely unwatchable, with songs, dance numbers, and dialogue so corny and stupid that it made me uncomfortable.

10. Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999)

PG-13 | 95 min | Action, Adventure, Comedy

59 Metascore

Dr. Evil is back and has invented a new time machine that allows him to go back to the 1960s and steal Austin Powers' mojo, inadvertently leaving him "shagless".

Director: Jay Roach | Stars: Mike Myers, Heather Graham, Michael York, Robert Wagner

Votes: 248,720 | Gross: $206.04M

This is more of a personal preference thing. This movie was just too gross and the humor was way to low brow. Sometimes I like that type of humor but it didn't work for me here.

11. My Best Friend's Girl (2008)

R | 101 min | Comedy, Romance

34 Metascore

Tank faces the ultimate test of friendship when his best friend hires him to take his ex-girlfriend out on a lousy date in order to make her realize how great her former boyfriend is.

Director: Howard Deutch | Stars: Kate Hudson, Dane Cook, Jason Biggs, Alec Baldwin

Votes: 46,383 | Gross: $19.22M

The lead characters were completely unlikable and horrible people. I had no idea why they even liked each other. The plot was generic and pretty much did not go anywhere. I walked out.

12. April Fool's Day (2008 Video)

Directors: Mitchell Altieri, Phil Flores | Stars: Taylor Cole, Josh Henderson, Scout Taylor-Compton, Joe Egender

Votes: 4,221

I watched this because of Scout-Taylor Compton, huge mistake. This movie appeared to be filmed with a home camcorder and had absolutely NO plot progression while the lead girl ran around but did nothing.

13. Psycho (1998)

R | 105 min | Horror, Mystery, Thriller

47 Metascore

A young female embezzler arrives at the Bates Motel, which has terrible secrets of its own.

Director: Gus Van Sant | Stars: Vince Vaughn, Anne Heche, Julianne Moore, Viggo Mortensen

Votes: 50,694 | Gross: $21.46M

*NOTE: I listed 1998 VERSION. Not the 1960 classic... There was absolutely no reason for this movie to be made. I wouldn't call it as much of a remake as I would call it a xerox copy. It was technically the exact same thing except MUCH worse quality.

14. Raise Your Voice (2004)

PG | 103 min | Family, Music, Musical

33 Metascore

Terri Fletcher is a small town girl with the voice of a big-time singer. When personal tragedy interrupts her steady life, Terri defies her father's wishes and secretly heads off to spend a summer at a Los Angeles performing arts academy.

Director: Sean McNamara | Stars: Hilary Duff, John Corbett, Rebecca De Mornay, Oliver James

Votes: 28,894 | Gross: $10.41M

I have no problem with Hillary Duff, but in this movie there's just no way to sell the the idea of her being this amazingly talented singer. Throw in a super generic plot of the lost girl chasing her dream, and you have a movie barely worthy to be a made for TV after school special.

15. Nine Lives (2002 Video)

R | 85 min | Horror, Thriller

Nine friends staying in an isolated Scottish manor house must fight for their lives when a centuries-old spirit is unleashed.

Director: Andrew Green | Stars: Rosie Fellner, Vivienne Harvey, Paris Hilton, Patrick Kennedy

Votes: 3,718

They obviously used their entire budget to hire Paris Hilton to appear in the movie for about ten minutes before she's killed off, because most of this movie could be made by a middle school drama class in someone's mansion. The "spooky music" sounded like one of those tapes that you buy for your kid's Halloween party.

16. Enough (I) (2002)

PG-13 | 115 min | Crime, Drama, Thriller

25 Metascore

After running away fails, a terrified woman empowers herself in order to battle her abusive husband.

Director: Michael Apted | Stars: Jennifer Lopez, Billy Campbell, Tessa Allen, Juliette Lewis

Votes: 47,747 | Gross: $40.01M

Jennifer Lopez cannot act, we all know this. Sadly, that is not the worst quality of this movie.

17. Blindness (2008)

R | 121 min | Drama, Mystery, Thriller

45 Metascore

A city is ravaged by an epidemic of instant white blindness.

Director: Fernando Meirelles | Stars: Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Gael García Bernal, Yûsuke Iseya

Votes: 75,178 | Gross: $3.07M

This movie is a dreary, dark, boring, downer with a lead character that's so stupid it makes you want to shout at the screen.

18. Æon Flux (2005)

PG-13 | 93 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

36 Metascore

Æon Flux is a mysterious assassin working for the Monicans, a group of rebels trying to overthrow the government. When she is sent on a mission to kill the Chairman, a whole new mystery is found.

Director: Karyn Kusama | Stars: Charlize Theron, Frances McDormand, Sophie Okonedo, Marton Csokas

Votes: 132,747 | Gross: $25.87M

The only redeeming quality if this boring, convoluted mess is that Charlize Theron is wearing skin tight body suits. Watch on mute if you must.

19. You've Got Mail (1998)

PG | 119 min | Comedy, Drama, Romance

58 Metascore

Book superstore magnate Joe Fox and independent book shop owner Kathleen Kelly fall in love in the anonymity of the Internet, both blissfully unaware that he's trying to put her out of business.

Director: Nora Ephron | Stars: Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan, Greg Kinnear, Parker Posey

Votes: 229,545 | Gross: $115.82M

I couldn't figure out why the lead character's liked each other, therefore this didn't work for me. And the title dated the movie almost immediately. Again, this is personal preference because I know a lot of people enjoyed this movie. I also found the lead characters really annoying.

20. The Final Destination (2009)

R | 82 min | Horror, Thriller

30 Metascore

A horrifying premonition saves a young man and his friends from death during a racetrack accident but terrible fates await them nonetheless.

Director: David R. Ellis | Stars: Nick Zano, Krista Allen, Andrew Fiscella, Bobby Campo

Votes: 115,029 | Gross: $66.48M

The "fake" deaths were way better than the real ones.

21. Sidekicks (1992)

PG | 101 min | Action, Adventure, Comedy

A bullied teen who fantasizes about being Chuck Norris' sidekick trains in martial arts to fulfill his dreams.

Director: Aaron Norris | Stars: Chuck Norris, Beau Bridges, Jonathan Brandis, Mako

Two bored children have their lives turned upside down when a talking cat comes to visit them.

Director: Bo Welch | Stars: Mike Myers, Spencer Breslin, Dakota Fanning, Alec Baldwin

Votes: 87,968 | Gross: $101.15M

Just an abomination of Dr. Suess, and really, really boring.

23. Batman Forever (1995)

PG-13 | 121 min | Action, Adventure

54 Metascore

Batman must battle former district attorney Harvey Dent, who is now Two-Face and Edward Nygma, The Riddler with help from an amorous psychologist and a young circus acrobat who becomes his sidekick, Robin.

Director: Joel Schumacher | Stars: Val Kilmer, Tommy Lee Jones, Jim Carrey, Nicole Kidman

Votes: 266,478 | Gross: $184.03M

I thought this was the worst film in the Batman franchise....

24. Batman & Robin (1997)

I was forced to watch this while babysitting. If you think this would be a nice little kid friendly movie for your daughter can enjoy resist the urge, there are much better choices out there. This is one of those movies that pretty much everyone liked when they were kids, but when they were over the age of 15 realized how much it sucks. The lead kid actor couldn't act and basically shouted his lines.
