- StarsAnn MitchellFiona HendleyKate WilliamsLinda Perelli and Dolly Rawlins have one thing in common, their husbands are in the same gang robbing security vans. A terrible accident is about to bring them closer.Favourite ever programme. The four lead women were excellent, all so believeable. Anne Mitchell (Dolly) probably the greatest ever character in TV history. Followed by second series, not as good as the first, but then it could never be that good. still required viewing.
- CreatorAndrew DaviesKate BrookeStarsRon CookJeremy PivenTom Goodman-HillCenters on the real-life story of the flamboyant and visionary American founder of Selfridge's, London's department store.Jeremy Piven is excellent in this playing Selfridge himself. But so many other great performances, my other fav 2 are without doubt Tom Goodman-Hill as Grove and Ron Cook as Crabb. All four series are good with many plots and storylines you can get into. In my view the best series of the 2000's.
- CreatorJ.J. AbramsJeffrey LieberDamon LindelofStarsJorge GarciaJosh HollowayYunjin KimThe survivors of a plane crash are forced to work together in order to survive on a seemingly deserted tropical island.Great characters and storylines that start and then reappear in future episodes. Really like how we meet the people on the island and then we get their life story (or parts of it) in flashbacks. Terry O'Quinn ( whatever happened to him after he was so good in The Stepfather) is the best character as John Locke, Locke is a candidate for best character of all time in a tv series. Other fav characters are Charlie, then Sawyer, Kate and Gin. You can see where the walking dead got it's ideas from, with flashbacks and resuming storylines later in the series etc. This is classic stuff and will be in a lot of people's top 10 lists. The ending. Not 100% convinced but it does bring a tear to the eye and it brought the curtain down on what is an absolute must see.
- CreatorVince GilliganStarsBryan CranstonAaron PaulAnna GunnA chemistry teacher diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer turns to manufacturing and selling methamphetamine with a former student in order to secure his family's future.Top notch acting and great characters make this must see tv. Brian Cranston is excellent as walt, an anti hero if ever there was one. Dean Norris as Hank also puts in some great performances. Aaron Paul as Jesse is good, but felt he was a bit over rated at times. My other favourites characters appear a little later in the series, namely Gus Fring and Saul Goodman. Many other good performances from villians to regular characters. The storylines are excellent and throw in many surprises and shocks, Without doubt, one of the best U.S. tv series of all time.
- StarsChristina RignérJesse BirdsallAnn-Charlotte StålhammarIsle of Wight deck chair attendant meets Swedish exchange student and follows her back to Sweden. Two great lead characters.Jesse Birdsall is really good as Pete. And whatever happened to Christina Rigner (who played Annika),she took a good part. Also who can forget Alan, another great character. A second series was certainly merited but didn't happen.
- CreatorFrank DarabontStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusMelissa McBrideSheriff Deputy Rick Grimes wakes up from a coma to learn the world is in ruins and must lead a group of survivors to stay alive.Loved the first season of this back in 2010, great characters and storylines.Season 1 set the scene. Season 2 is my favourite, set on the farm. And season 3 is great to, set mainly in the prison. Started loosing it's way a little bit during season 4. Fair to say 5 and 6 are not as good as the earlier ones. Fav characters Dale,Herschel and Merle.
- CreatorPaul AbbottStarsDavid ThrelfallRebecca AtkinsonAlice BarryThe lives and relationships of a group of siblings and their estranged father Frank Gallagher on a rough Manchester estate.Only the first three series. Went rapidly downhill after that. But the first series introduced some great and believable characters. Favs being Fiona, steve,Veronica and Kev. But after the third series it went downhill, with all the best chartacters gradually leaving.Went on to long and should of ended earlier then it did. But those first 3 are great viewing.
- CreatorKatie BaxendaleStarsOlivia HallinanLenora CrichlowRichard Lumsden15-year-old Kim has just moved to Brighton and developed an earth-shattering, hormone-surging crush on her new best friend, Sugar.Very rude but also very witty and funny, with some good storylines. Olivia Hallinan is really good as lead chartacter kim, haven't really seen her in anything else. Followed by a second series, which was on a par with the first. A third series wouldn't have been one to many but it never followed.
- CreatorGeoff McQueenStarsGraham ColeJeff StewartTrudie GoodwinLong-running police drama series featuring officers and detectives from the fictional Sun Hill suburb in East London.Had to include this. But only when it was unmissable in the late 90's and early 2000's.With some brilliant characters and storylines. Fav character without doubt,Chandler, followed by Boulton and Meadows. Lost interest after Chandler went out of it. Certainly a mistake writing that character out. Also got daft with several characters just being killed off. But it was great viewing late 90's/early 2000's.
- CreatorLeon GriffithsStarsGeorge ColeGlynn EdwardsDennis WatermanRoguish comedy drama following the misadventures of small-time crook Arthur Daley. Can his ex-boxer bodyguard Terry stay level-headed whilst working for the King of Dodgy Deals?Only when it featured cole and waterman, should have really ended when waterman left. But classic 80's brit comedy/drama. Easy to forget originally written for waterman after the sweeney ended. As it's often cole who takes centre stage. A little dated now, but still funny with so many well known brit actors featured over the years.
