The top 8 movies that don't deserve to be in the TOP 250
IMDB has one of the greatest movie lists i've ever seen yet there's some movies which perplexed me as to why they were there. Frankly its a small drawback to such a great list... and I am not saying these movies are not good or fun but they absolutely don't deserve to be in the top 250 films of all time.

- DirectorClint EastwoodStarsSean PennTim RobbinsKevin BaconThe tragic murder of a 19-year-old girl reunites three childhood friends still living in Boston--the victim's gangster father, a detective, and the disturbed man they both suspect of killing her.Clint Eastwood is a much better actor than he is a director... I don't have a problem with his directing its much better than average.. but this movie was too reliant on the twist. It falls short of actual deep story telling. Its just attempting to pull guilt heart strings but it doesn't feel natural or focused enough(it only happens for the last 35 minutes).
- DirectorJames CameronStarsArnold SchwarzeneggerLinda HamiltonEdward FurlongA cyborg, identical to the one who failed to kill Sarah Connor, must now protect her ten year old son John from an even more advanced and powerful cyborg.I like robots and fun explosions as much as the next guy but there are times when you gotta step back and see it for what it really is. An action flick.
- DirectorGore VerbinskiStarsJohnny DeppGeoffrey RushOrlando BloomBlacksmith Will Turner teams up with eccentric pirate "Captain" Jack Sparrow to save Elizabeth Swann, the governor's daughter and his love, from Jack's former pirate allies, who are now undead.Although Captain Jack Sparrow is great and very memorable... this movie dragged on way longer than it should have. Visual effects and good costume design are no substitute for well written scenarios.
- DirectorJames CameronStarsSam WorthingtonZoe SaldanaSigourney WeaverA paraplegic Marine dispatched to the moon Pandora on a unique mission becomes torn between following his orders and protecting the world he feels is his home. The mark of a bad film... with few exceptions is that you can tell what the ending will be in the first 20 minutes. Not to mention all around bad acting and linear storyline.
- DirectorChristopher NolanStarsLeonardo DiCaprioJoseph Gordon-LevittElliot PageA thief who steals corporate secrets through the use of dream-sharing technology is given the inverse task of planting an idea into the mind of a C.E.O., but his tragic past may doom the project and his team to disaster.I'm sure most people just thought this movie was mediocre but it only ended up in the top 250 because teens flooded the site. I was expecting some really creative things to happen when it was all set in brains and the imagination... but all they really dreamed up was another new york with mediocre action scenes. Di caprio gives an okay performance, probably not in his top 10 performances. Everyone else is just sub par. Alot of hype for Di Caprio's final confrontation with his wife, all these warnings about how dangerous it is and all we get is poorly acted 3 minute scene where he talks to his wife... talk about a lack of content... Nolan can't do characters.
The worst thing is probably the plot... somehow Nolan thinks that piling up one idea on top of itself is a good idea. Invading a dream=okay. Planting an idea= great. A dream within a dream=sure... a dream within a dream within a dream=... you are out of ideas? A very moronic way to move the story. Although a good excuse for a neverending slow motion sequence... too bad the action didn't deliver. This movie is an insult to good movie making and destroys the integrity of the list. - DirectorJames CameronStarsSigourney WeaverMichael BiehnCarrie HennDecades after surviving the Nostromo incident, Ellen Ripley is sent out to re-establish contact with a terraforming colony but finds herself battling the Alien Queen and her offspring. As far as horror movies go this is pretty great, I just don't think the suspense compares to "the thing" or the first Alien, its still a pretty good movie, it only stands out because the horror category is generally terrible.
- DirectorLee UnkrichStarsTom HanksTim AllenJoan CusackThe toys are mistakenly delivered to a day-care center instead of the attic right before Andy leaves for college, and it's up to Woody to convince the other toys that they weren't abandoned and to return home. This is a derivative nostalgia fest. The plot is almost identical to the last toy story and all character development from the previous ones has been nullified so it can be redone. There are a lot of questionable things that happen to drag the plot along.
- DirectorFarhan AkhtarStarsAamir KhanSaif Ali KhanAkshaye KhannaThree inseparable childhood friends are just out of college. Nothing comes between them - until they each fall in love, and their wildly different approaches to relationships creates tension.Nothing below the surface, 3 hours of bad songs and boring characters coupled with amateur directing does not a good movie make.
