Did an astounding job playing in "Love Actually" and "Wit".
In "Love Actually", she needs to adapt to the role of a loving mother and wife, who discovers a expensive christmas present that her husband has bought for another woman. To hide her shock and grief from the children and husband, she manages to put on a happy and content face, allthough she struggles with herself to cope.
This show an excellent work of double acting, where two emotions are played on top of eachother. Thompson does this beautifully.
