Editors' Picks: Our Favorite Things From the Week of July 3011 of 12
Festival Film of the Week
TIFF announced the lineup for its Platform program, and we were excited to see it includes Euphoria, the English-language debut of Lisa Lansgeth. The Swedish director is reunited with her frequent collaborator Alicia Vikander, who stars opposite Eva Green in the story of estranged sisters traveling through Europe on an ominous journey of reconciliation.
Vikander can also be seen at Toronto in the Wim Wenders drama Submergence, co-starring James McAvoy. It's the story of two lovers who struggle to reconnect as they are separated by oceans and war.
