2. Frank is clean and sober ... for now
The death of Monica (Chloe Webb) hit Frank (William H. Macy) hard, with surprising results: The first episode finds him clean and sober.
"It's different," Macy says. "He's evolving. He's clean and sober, with a job, and shaves every day."
But things don't stay that way for long. "Nobody ever changes. A zebra doesn't ever lose its stripes," Macy says. "So it was inevitable [that Frank fall off the wagon]. And it's delicious. As you can tell by my appearance, old Frank is back. And I missed him. He's so much fun."
