Michelle's Favorite Performances of 201710 of 10
Carrie Coon in "The Leftovers"
There were so many profound moments and powerful performances in every single episode of this final season that were absolutely breathtaking, from Kevin Garvey Sr. crazed search for the final song to stop the floods to Laurie's phone call before her scuba dive/possible suicide attempt. But my absolute favorite was Carrie Coon in "The Book of Nora." In a show where literally anything can happen, I expected flashbacks and fanfare when they showed what happened in her trip to the other side. But instead, they let the character tell her own story and let the viewer decide what they wanted to believe. Raw, emotional, and perfect.
