- DirectorIlya NaishullerStarsSharlto CopleyTim RothHaley BennettHenry is resurrected from death with no memory, and he must save his wife from a telekinetic warlord with a plan to bio-engineer soldiers. If Spring is a snoozefest so far, jumpstart the season with first-person action film Hardcore Henry. Director Ilya Naishuller is a "huge proponent of practical effects." So, he shot everything "as real as humanly possible," which makes the movie even more badass. Well, that and the fact that the psychotic villain also has telekinetic powers. — Chako

MORE: Watch IMDb's exclusive Hardcore Henry voice-over trailer with director Ilya Naishuller here. - CreatorDavid SchicklerJonathan TropperStarsAntony StarrIvana MilicevicUlrich ThomsenAn ex-con assumes the identity of a murdered sheriff in the small town of Banshee, Pennsylvania, where he has some unfinished business. It's time to say farewell to Cinemax's brutally violent and forever underrated original series, which wraps up with a proper fourth and final season. The narrative is pushed ahead two years as we catch up with Lucas Hood (Anthony Starr). I understand the jump serves as a reset of sorts as the principal characters come to terms with who they are and what they've become. Knowing that Eliza Dushku will serve as a special guest throughout the season might encourage new fans to catch up with the beloved program while it plays out its final eight episodes. — Arno
Season 4 premieres Friday, April 1 - StarsSharon HorganRob DelaneyMark BonnarAmerican man Rob gets Irish woman Sharon pregnant when they hook up for a week while he is on a business trip in London.Comedic forces Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan’s transatlantic fling spawned a baby and a second season. Now we get to see how they tackle sudden parenthood, which will surely include their signature raw honesty and edgy, transatlantic humor. The trailer alone approaches NSFW status and makes this show a whole new category of "family comedy." —Melissa
Season 2 premieres Friday, April 8 - DirectorRichard LinklaterStarsBlake JennerTyler HoechlinRyan GuzmanIn 1980, a group of college baseball players navigate their way through the freedoms and responsibilities of unsupervised adulthood.Rest easy, Dazed and Confused fans: The '80s are just as much fun. While Richard Linklater's latest coming-of-age comedy isn't technically a sequel to his incredibly popular 1993 classic, Everybody Wants Some!!! looks to be a film very much in the same vein, this time set on a college campus during the Reagan era. The story follows a group of college baseball players, led by Blake Jenner, Tyler Hoechlin, and Ryan Guzman among others, as they feel their oats as young though not-quite-there adults. If Linklater's previous work is any indication, viewers should settle in for some sensitive storytelling, round and relatable characters, and a celebration of youth. — Bret
Opens Friday, April 8, in wide release - CreatorRonald D. MooreStarsCaitríona BalfeSam HeughanSophie SkeltonClaire Beauchamp Randall, a nurse in World War II, mysteriously goes back in time to Scotland in 1743. There, she meets a dashing Highland warrior and gets drawn into an epic rebellion.Break out the bagpipes and say, "Sassenach." "Outlander" is finally back! I fell in love with Claire and Jamie's epic romance during Season 1. The show's unique blend of love, lust, time travel, and feminism is captivating. Season 2 moves from Scotland to France, which means the couple will spend time at Versailles, and viewers will get to feast their eyes on sumptuous sets and costumes. — Sara
Season 2 premieres Saturday, April 9 - CreatorDave EricksonRobert KirkmanStarsKim DickensFrank DillaneCliff CurtisA Walking Dead spinoff set in Los Angeles, California. Follows two families who must band together to survive the undead apocalypse.Wait just a minute ... Zombies can swim?! According to the creators, it isn't so. But they can wade in the shallow waters, which is just as terrifying if you ask me. As the very short 6-episode first season left a lot of unanswered questions (When exactly did Facebook go down?), it also gave us a glimpse into the beginning of the madness. Season 2 is sure to deliver even more for us diehard "Walking Dead" fans and give us a little something to tide us over until it's back. — Shara
Season 2 premieres Sunday, April 10 - CreatorNatalie ChaidezStarsNathan PhillipsBritne OldfordMark Coles SmithThe disappearance of a decorated FBI agent's wife leads him to a secret government unit assembled to hunt a group of ruthless terrorists--shadowy figures that may or may not be from this world.Based on Whitley Strieber’s sci-fi novel, “Alien Hunter,” the Syfy adaptation looks like dark, gritty fun. The trailer holds all of the hallmarks of a classic sci-fi crime drama: a covert alien attack force, a determined FBI agent in over his head, and a shadowy government agency of alien hunters. The Jungle Book has always been one of my favorite childhood Disney films, and I can’t wait to see Jon Favreau's interpretation of the Disney classic come to life on the big screen. From all of the trailers I’ve seen so far, this film looks great! — Akimi
Opens Friday, April 15, in wide release - DirectorJeremy SaulnierStarsAnton YelchinImogen PootsAlia ShawkatA punk rock band is forced to fight for survival after witnessing a murder at a neo-Nazi skinhead bar.Jeremy Saulnier's Blue Ruin truly was a revelation, the kind of movie that will continue to accrue devotees over time. Saulnier was offered Hollywood work after Blue Ruin proved to be more than a festival darling. So, I love him even more for choosing to direct another one of his scripts as his next project. Also, I've been hoping for a director to cast Anton Yelchin in something that coaxes out more of the young actor's talent. Casting Patrick Stewart as a neo-Nazi is a guaranteed way to grab headlines, but I sense that just as much attention is being paid to Saulnier as one of the most promising writer/directors around. — Arno
Opens Friday, April 15, in limited release - DirectorRick FamuyiwaStarsKerry WashingtonWendell PierceGreg KinnearJudge Clarence Thomas' nomination to the United States Supreme Court is called into question when Anita Hill, a former colleague, testifies that he sexually harassed her.HBO's film about Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas's 1991 Senate confirmation hearings could not be timelier, given that there is currently another vacancy on the court. Kerry Washington stars as Anita Hill, an attorney who testified that Thomas sexually harassed her. I'm looking forward to seeing Washington take off Olivia Pope's white hat to portray a real person who found herself embroiled in a real-life scandal. — Sara
Premieres Saturday, April 16 - CreatorDavid FarrStarsTom HiddlestonHugh LaurieElizabeth DebickiThe night manager of a Cairo hotel is recruited to infiltrate an arms dealer's inner circle.I can't wait to watch Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie go head-to-head in the updated adaptation of the 1993 John le Carré novel, “The Night Manager.” Tom Hiddleston plays a former British soldier and now night manager of an Egyptian hotel, who is recruited by British Intelligence to infiltrate the inner circle of arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie). The series is filmed against the stunning backdrops of Cairo, Turkey, Switzerland, and Morocco, and also stars Tobias Menzies (“Outlander”), Olivia Colman ("Broadchurch"), and David Harewood (“Supergirl”).

Series Premiere: Tuesday, April 19 - DirectorLiza JohnsonStarsMichael ShannonKevin SpaceyAlex PettyferThe untold true story behind the meeting between Elvis Presley, the King of Rock 'n Roll, and President Richard Nixon, resulting in this revealing, yet humorous moment immortalized in the most requested photograph in the National Archives. So, maybe it wasn't the Yalta Conference. But for most folks, the greatest meeting of the 20th century just may have been when Elvis landed in the Oval Office to meet up with Tricky Dick President Richard Nixon himself on Dec. 21, 1970. The meeting was memorialized in what has become one of the most memorable if bizarre photographs of the last century. This latest offering from Amazon Studios provides the story behind that photograph and reveals a little bit about two cultural figures who still command much attention after their deaths, precisely because beneath their carefully crafted public veneers lay some seriously idiosyncratic personalities, now on full display again on the big screen. — Bret

WeissStarsEmilia ClarkePeter DinklageKit HaringtonNine noble families fight for control over the lands of Westeros, while an ancient enemy returns after being dormant for millennia.Jon Snow lives ... I hope! The full-length trailer gave us superfans just enough subtle hints into Jon Snow's fate to hold us over 'till mid-April's Season 6 premiere. On top of that epic trailer, producers have not only teased a huge battle but also promised fans that "this season there isn't a weak episode." Bold promises! But in keeping with the theme of each season being bigger and badder than the last, I wouldn't put it past HBO to deliver. With so many characters' storylines left in limbo, whose fate are you most excited to learn about in Season 6? Is it Jon Snow or is there someone else you are dying to know about? Let us know in the comments below. — Shara
Season 6 premieres Sunday, April 24 - CreatorArmando IannucciStarsJulia Louis-DreyfusTony HaleAnna ChlumskyFormer Senator Selina Meyer finds that being Vice President of the United States is nothing like she hoped and everything that everyone ever warned her about."Veep" is back for its fifth (yes, fifth!) season. I can't wait to see what Selina Meyer's (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) been doing. Speaking of, there's a new guy on the scene: a suave Wall Street mogul played by John Slattery, who's making his return to the small screen post-"Mad Men." We'll definitely be seeing more of Hugh Laurie's Tom James, though I'm most excited to see Ben Cafferty (played by Kevin Dunn), who never fails to acerbically dismantle anything, including himself. Will this season bring the multiple award-winning show even more awards? — Chako
