9. The Clovehitch Killer
What I find interesting about The Clovehitch Killer is how director Duncan Skiles managed to make a serial killer film so unnerving and creepy without showing us on-screen kills ... or having us attempt to figure out the identity of the killer. The film stars Charlie Plummer as a teen wrestling with mounting evidence that his corny, straight-laced dad (Dylan McDermott) is a serial killer. McDermott is smooth and terrifying as an upstanding husband, father, and Scout leader who happens to have a few "hobbies of his own."
