Votes: 2,872,706 | Gross: $534.86M

To me, this is not only the best Batman movie of all time, but is the best superhero movie of all time!! Its also one of the best movies of all time I believe!! I have never been so amazed in a theater when I first saw it! Heath Ledger's performance was brilliant! The whole movie was absolutely perfect!

2. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993)

65 Metascore

Votes: 56,896 | Gross: $5.62M

Now this is a Batman movie that not many people have seen, but they should. It came out in the 90s when the animated series was on. I remember as a kid when I was about 3 or 4 years olds, I watch this film over and over again. This movie and the animated series really had the true essence of Batman!

3. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 (2013 Video)

PG-13 | 76 min | Animation, Action, Crime

The Batman has returned after a 10-year absence. The Gotham authorities want to arrest him. An old foe wants a reunion. The Feds want the Man of Tomorrow to put a stop to him.

Director: Jay Oliva | Stars: Peter Weller, Ariel Winter, Michael Emerson, David Selby

Votes: 57,005

I really just want to say that I love both Part one and part two as the same film! But this one was better. Both of them are based off of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns. I consider that graphic novel to be the best graphic novel of all time and both of these films are true to the comic. Its the best animated Batman movie since Mask of The Phantasm!

4. Batman (1989)

PG-13 | 126 min | Action, Adventure

69 Metascore

The Dark Knight of Gotham City begins his war on crime with his first major enemy being Jack Napier, a criminal who becomes the clownishly homicidal Joker.

Director: Tim Burton | Stars: Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson, Kim Basinger, Robert Wuhl

Votes: 404,457 | Gross: $251.19M

To me, this movie will always be a classic. For its time it was a serious interpretation of Batman. A lot of people thought that Michael Keaton couldn't play him, but boy were they wrong. Jack Nicholson was a good Joker also. I grew up watching this film and it will always be one of my favorite superhero movies of all time and so is Batman Returns!

5. Batman Begins (2005)

PG-13 | 140 min | Action, Crime, Drama

70 Metascore

After witnessing his parents' death, Bruce learns the art of fighting to confront injustice. When he returns to Gotham as Batman, he must stop a secret society that intends to destroy the city.

Director: Christopher Nolan | Stars: Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Ken Watanabe, Liam Neeson

Votes: 1,579,483 | Gross: $206.85M

Batman Begins is a very entertaining movie! It starts out a little slow, but it gains momentum at about the middle of the film. It has an excellent origin story to this film and thats one thing we needed to see for a Batman movie. It was a great start to a new Batman franchise!

6. The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

PG-13 | 164 min | Action, Drama, Thriller

78 Metascore

Eight years after the Joker's reign of chaos, Batman is coerced out of exile with the assistance of the mysterious Selina Kyle in order to defend Gotham City from the vicious guerrilla terrorist Bane.

Director: Christopher Nolan | Stars: Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman

Votes: 1,828,715 | Gross: $448.14M

When I saw this one, I wasn't quite as amazed as I was when I saw The Dark Knight, but I very much enjoyed it. There are a few flaws to it though as a comic book fan that are in it. But it wasn't perfect. The acting and the story was awesome! But there was a lot of plot holes in the film. It could have been written much better. But the positive things about it, out weigh the negative things. Bane was a good villian, but not as good as Heath Ledger's Joker. I think if Heath Ledger was still alive, I believe he would have came back and the movie would have been a completley different story. Thats really why its not as good as The Dark Knight.

7. Batman Returns (1992)

PG-13 | 126 min | Action, Crime, Fantasy

68 Metascore

While Batman deals with a deformed man calling himself the Penguin wreaking havoc across Gotham with the help of a cruel businessman, a female employee of the latter becomes the Catwoman with her own vendetta.

Director: Tim Burton | Stars: Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken

Votes: 327,648 | Gross: $162.83M

I love Batman Returns! It does have some flaws to it, like Batman killing some of the bad guys. I watched this movie a whole lot a kid too. I like Danny Devito as the Pengiun and Michelle Pffiefher as Catwoman. In fact I liked her interpretation better than Anne Hathaways. And I loved how the movie had ended too. I wish Warner Brothers had stuck with Tim Burton on directing more Batman films. The studio had thought this movie was too dark. But the thing is, BATMAN IS SUPPOSED TO BE DARK!!

8. Batman: Under the Red Hood (2010 Video)

PG-13 | 75 min | Animation, Action, Crime

There's a mystery afoot in Gotham City, and Batman must go toe-to-toe with a mysterious vigilante, who goes by the name of Red Hood. Subsequently, old wounds reopen and old, once buried memories come into the light.

Director: Brandon Vietti | Stars: Bruce Greenwood, Jensen Ackles, John DiMaggio, Neil Patrick Harris

Votes: 67,834

Batman Under The Red Hood is an animated film that is based off a graphic novel. Its a very good interpretation of Batman. Someone comes back into Bruce Wayne's life from the past that haunts him and of course the Joker is somehow involved. A lot of you Batman fans probably already know this story.

9. Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (2000 Video)

PG-13 | 76 min | Animation, Action, Crime

The Joker is back with a vengeance, and Gotham's newest Dark Knight needs answers as he stands alone to face Gotham's most infamous Clown Prince of Crime.

Director: Curt Geda | Stars: Will Friedle, Mark Hamill, Kevin Conroy, Angie Harmon

Votes: 29,801

Batman Beyond Return of The Joker is an excellent film. Its connected to Batman Beyond the animated series. You finally find out what happens to the Joker from the old animated series. It has a good story to it.

10. Batman Forever (1995)

PG-13 | 121 min | Action, Adventure

54 Metascore

Batman must battle former district attorney Harvey Dent, who is now Two-Face and Edward Nygma, The Riddler with help from an amorous psychologist and a young circus acrobat who becomes his sidekick, Robin.

Director: Joel Schumacher | Stars: Val Kilmer, Tommy Lee Jones, Jim Carrey, Nicole Kidman

Votes: 266,679 | Gross: $184.03M

Batman Forever is a solid movie. Its some what chessy and some what serious as well. I consider it to be an underrated film. Val Kilmer did a very good job with the character. Its more of a fun movie to watch to me.
