The Greatest 35 Animated Films of All Time

My goal was to be as broad and consistent as possible with all forms of animation throughout all the years of its existence throughout all the continents of the world. Meaning: that no more than five of the films on the list would be Pixar or Studio Ghibli (as hard as it is to not include more of them). I believe that all forms of animation from any part of the world from any point in history should be considered and respected for its brilliance in its vision, story, imagination and impact. To ignore these for the sake of more popular Western entertainment defeats the purpose of enjoying great art, especially when it concerns animation. I included films from America, Russia, Japan, France and other countires; from stop-motion animation to computer-animated; from the 1910's to the 2010's; from feature-length films to short films. I'm sorry if I didn't include your favorite animated film in the list. Again,my goal was not to please everyone, but rather to make a list of films consistent of all the elements crucial to making great animation, no matter the year, form, story or vision.
