I like Crime Shows, where The Detectives are broken characters especially the investigator Saga Noren, just a total fluke. The role of the autistic Commissioner has been played consistently and authentically. I love her small scar on the lip, which is simply sexy. But even everyone else have wonderful quirks and sometimes it's so unstopable how people maneuver into the abyss that you want to jump almost into the TV to save them. The individual criminal cases that need to be solved are created extremely complex and it is never boring or predictable. Making a Murderer is a documentary mini-series examining the murder charge against Steven Avery and the corrupt justice system that put him away. This is the only TV series that I couldn't stop watching. Towards the end of episode 1 I was like "this is stupid", until the last line and I was hooked like Robert Downey Jr on cocaine. After a slow start it just became incredibly captivating. At times I had to remind myself that I am watching a documentary. It is amazing how raw footage (edited, surely, but still without commentary) of a court hearing can keep one glued to the screen for hours. Making a Murderer is an extremely captivating but extremely biased documentary series. its definitely worth watching but I think there is more to the story than what is portrayed on the show. I think it raises some important issues such as policemen in Manitowoc County suck, justice, how crap lawyers can be and the importance of quality education as evidenced in this interaction between Brendan Dassey and his mother:

I like that it's complex and there's (mostly) no clear seperation between good and evil. This is one of the great achievements of postmoderism, to get beyond the cold-war, easily distinguishable good and evil worldview. Because guess what, the world is complex, too.
I really hate it for satisfying the blood-thirst some hoomans have. I think we shouldn't go back to the gladiator-age, where people died and people liked watching it. It's interessting to see though, how you kind of want people to die, because they are just *beep* (Joffrey).
I stopped watching it after three seasons, though. I couldn't really take it serious from the beginning because dragons, then gave it a try (because someone I liked wanted to watch it with me), but then there's this red-haired-chick that appeared out of nowhere, seems to be magically invulnerable, get's pregnant from some random dude, gives birth like 3h later to a demon (SERIOUSLY?) that kinda lives for 3 Minutes just to kill someone, then suddenly disappears. The episode finally closes with magic flubber-like gibberigoo that makes a whole armada explode. ARE YOU SERIOUS? - Chris (Germany)
