Directors: Gok Kim, Sun Kim | Stars: Hahm Eun-jung, Hwang Woo-seul-hye, Maydoni, Choi Ah-ra
Votes: 1,694
A fairly cliche K-horror movie elevated by the likeability of Eun-Joo and Soon-Ye. If you know quite a bit about K-pop, this is enjoyable, but if you're not a fan, you will spend most of the movie lost.
2. The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988)
R | 98 min | Fantasy, Horror
An anthropologist goes to Haiti after hearing rumors about a drug used by black magic practitioners to turn people into zombies.
Director: Wes Craven | Stars: Bill Pullman, Cathy Tyson, Zakes Mokae, Paul Winfield
Votes: 27,575 | Gross: $19.60M
The story is very sensationalized. It doesn't follow the plot of the book *at all.*
The special effects and visuals are quite good. However, the plot line concerns Hollywood voodoo; I just couldn't get into the movie.
3. Bordello of Blood (1996)
R | 87 min | Comedy, Fantasy, Horror
The Crypt Keeper returns to tell the story of a funeral parlor that moonlights as a vampire bordello.
Director: Gilbert Adler | Stars: Dennis Miller, Erika Eleniak, Angie Everhart, Chris Sarandon
Votes: 15,741 | Gross: $5.59M
There were some funny moments in this movie, but most of the jokes were corny, like you expect from "Tales from the Crypt."
It was very gory, and a lot of it looked really good considering how low budget and old this movie is.
There's a lot of nudity. There's a lot of nudity. Almost every woman in the movie is seen topless at least once.
4. The Dead Undead (2010)
R | 90 min | Action, Horror, Sci-Fi
Good Vampires battle Zombie Vampires while trying to hide their own identity and prevent the infection from spreading.
Directors: Matthew R. Anderson, Edward Conna | Stars: Luke Goss, Matthew R. Anderson, Spice Williams-Crosby, Luke LaFontaine
Votes: 915
Zombie vampires vs. vampires. That sounds fantastic! In reality, it's kinda boring. There's a lot of potential here, but it's mostly wasted.
That said, if Doc's backstory was a movie, I'd watch it.
5. The Awakening (I) (2011)
R | 102 min | Drama, Horror, Mystery

Votes: 68,784
Fantastic movie. A bit cliche in places, but very atmospheric. I quite enjoyed it.

Votes: 20,354 | Gross: $0.02M
A great concept but really hit and miss. Some letters were really good, but others were just stupid. The number of stupid/not funny/not scary letters far outnumbered the number of good letters.

Director: David Jacobson | Stars: Jeremy Renner, Bruce Davison, Artel Great, Matt Newton
Votes: 11,624 | Gross: $0.14M
An okay film. It was a little hard to follow because of the nonchronological order. But Jeremy Renner is worth it.

Votes: 787
This has a good idea. The characters are really interesting, especially the patients.
However, most of the acting is really, REALLY bad, and the twist is obvious from very early on.

Ignore the DVD cover; my copy looks like it's a Nazi-exploitation horror porn. It's not.
This film is actually really good. For the most part, it's just three people trapped in a room. The tension is good, though, and the actors are great. I HIGHLY recommend this one.
