Terrance Quinn (born July 15, 1952), known professionally as Terry O'Quinn, is an American actor. He played John Locke on the TV series Lost (2004), the title role in The Stepfather (1987) and Stepfather II: Make Room for Daddy (1989), and Peter Watts in Millennium (1996), which ran for three seasons (1996-1999). He has also hosted Mysteries of The Missing on The Science Channel.
O'Quinn was born at War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, one of 11 siblings, and grew up in nearby Newberry, Michigan. He is of Irish and English descent, and was raised Roman Catholic. He attended Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, and the University of Iowa in Iowa City. He changed his surname from Quinn to O'Quinn as another registered actor already had the name Terrance Quinn.
In the 1970s he came to Baltimore to act in the Center Stage production of Tartuffe. He remained at Center Stage for some years and often appeared with the late Tana Hicken, most notably as Benedick to her Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing. His first movie role was in Heaven's Gate.
O'Quinn began acting in the 1970s during his time at Central Michigan University. He not only was an actor but also playwright/director. He wrote and directed the musical Orchestrina. This musical featured five main characters: The Man (played by Jeff Daniels), The Boy (Harold Downs), The Woman (Ann O'Donnell), The Girl (Debbie Penwarden), and The Drunk (James Hilliker), plus a female and a male chorus. He was roommates at CMU with actor Brad Slaight.
Starting in 1980, O'Quinn has appeared in various feature films such as Silver Bullet, Tombstone, Heaven's Gate, Young Guns, alongside Rutger Hauer in Blind Fury, and as Howard Hughes in The Rocketeer.
O'Quinn also appeared in the Canadian horror movie, Pin (1988) alongside British-born Canadian actor, David Hewlett.
His early television roles include guest appearances on Miami Vice (episode "Give a Little, Take a Little"), Moonlighting, Star Trek: The Next Generation (episode "The Pegasus"), The Twilight Zone (1985 revival; episode "Chameleon"), Homicide: Life on the Street (episode "Hate Crimes"), a recurring role on Earth 2, another recurring role as Captain (& later Rear Admiral) Thomas Boone on JAG, as well as Colonel Will Ryan in episode 15 of season 1 on the JAG spin-off series NCIS (episode "Enigma").
Around 1995, O'Quinn made guest appearances in The X-Files and Harsh Realm, produced by Chris Carter, who also cast him in the film The X-Files: Fight The Future and then once again in the final season. In 1996 O'Quinn started acting in the television series Millennium as Peter Watts, also produced by Chris Carter. O'Quinn held this role for all three seasons of the series. O'Quinn holds the distinction of having played four different characters within the extended X-Files/Millennium continuum (the two shows being classed together since both Lance Henriksen's character of Frank Black and Charles Nelson Reilly's character of Jose Chung have appeared in both shows).Peter Watts- Actress

Extremely gifted character actor whose face is readily familiar to the public but they can often not remember why. He tends to turn minor supporting roles into perfect studies in human frailty, strength, passion, avarice or anything else demanded by the role. Born on March 17, 1960, in Los Angeles, Arye Gross attended the University of California at Irvine and went on to study acting at the Conservatory at South Coast Repertory. He then became a member of the South Coast Repertory resident company for three years. This was followed by a year with El Teatro Campesino under the direction of Luis Valdez. Gross has appeared in a number of stage productions with a variety of companies in the Los Angeles area, including LATC, Pasedena Playhouse, Odyssey Theater Ensemble, MET Theater and Stages Theater Center. Gross' extensive stage credits include "La Bete" for the Stages Theatre Center, "Room Service" for the Pasadena Playhouse, "Three Sisters" for the Los Angeles Theatre Center, "Taming of the Shrew" and "Much Ado About Nothing" for the Grove Shakespeare Festival, "Troillus and Cressida" for the Globe Playhouse and "Screwball" and "Let's Play Two" for the South Coast Repertory Theatre.
His tour de force as the lackey sent to fetch famed singer Dixie Leonard (Bette Midler) for a TV show in For the Boys (1991) provided what would have been an otherwise mediocre film with all its pivotal moments upon which the story would turn. The most important growth of a character in that film turns out to be that of his who goes from a "go-fer" to his own man as a result of his tender encounter with Dixie as she tells him her life story. However, as usual, his performance appeared a seamless part of the whole. In another era, a great character actor such as Gross would be more widely appreciated and celebrated. Many viewers will recall his appearance as the wronged husband in Minority Report (2002) which demanded a change from a loving family man to a betrayed husband falling victim to murderous rage all within a few minutes time. Simply superb.Ed- Actor

Outerbridge, together with two older sisters and two older brothers, grew up in Toronto, Ontario. While his father practiced law, his mother studied piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music. He comes from a family of artists, as his uncle (though not by blood) was opera singer Jon Vickers, and his cousin Billy is a regular at Stratford. In Outerbridge's own words, with his father being a trial lawyer, there were a lot of theatrics on his paternal side as well.
Outerbridge began his acting career after high school, when he enrolled at the University of Victoria to study acting. After graduating in 1988 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, he co-founded the theatre group Way Off Broadway and toured Canada with them for four years. In the early '90s, he started out in television, and his early credits include shows such as 21 Jump Street or The Commish. First feature films include Paris, France and Cool Runnings.
His talent was recognized early on, when roles in Marine Life or Chasing Cain earned him award nominations such as Genie or Gemini Awards, and more roles in TV shows, movies and features films followed. He has worked steadily ever since, on a large variety of projects. His most notable roles include young student Matt in the critically acclaimed movie Kissed, who falls in love with a necrophiliac. Also of note is his performance playing the transsexual Judy in Better Than Chocolate, or his downright creepy portrayal of sexual assailant Theodore Gray in the thriller The Rendering.
Ever since the early 90's, Outerbridge has been a steady presence not only on the silver screen but also on TV. Among many others, he played three different characters on the science fiction show The Outer Limits, had a recurring role in season three of Chris Carter's mystery spin-off Millennium, played the lead in three feature-length episodes of the 2004 version of The Murdoch Mysteries, and scored his biggest lead role to date in the same year, when he was cast as headstrong scientist David Sandström in The Movie Network's ReGenesis. The science-themed show successfully aired for four years and has been broadcast internationally in over 20 countries. ReGenesis has been nominated for several Gemini awards over the years.
As more recent projects go, Outerbridge has portrayed one of Canada's political founding fathers George Brown in the TV period piece John A.: Birth of a Country, which earned him the 2013 Canadian Screen Award in the category 'Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Program or Series'. He's had a recurring role in The CW's modern spy reboot Nikita, and starred as special guest star on Global TV's World War II period drama Bomb Girls. If you keep an eye out, you will also be able to catch his occasional guest spots on shows such as Suits and The Listener, and the upcoming Dark Rising: Warrior of Worlds.
In 2000, Peter Outerbridge married Canadian actress Tammy Isbell, with whom he has co-starred on more than one occasion, among them The Murdoch Mysteries (2004) and ReGenesis (2004). It is said the two of them met in 1994 while shooting an episode of The Outer Limits (1995) together, in which they fittingly played a young couple. In 2004, twins Thomas and Samuel were born. Outerbridge and his family live in Toronto.Barry Baldwin- Actor

For over four decades, Tzi Ma (pronounced "TIE MA") has blazed new trails for the representation of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) in Hollywood with a groundbreaking career that encompasses virtually every genre across film, television and theater.
From big budget blockbusters like the Rush Hour series (1998 - 2007) to award-winning independent films like Tigertail (2020), Ma's unforgettable performances and uncanny versatility have garnered unanimous acclaim from critics and audiences around the world.
Since 2021, Ma has co-starred in The CW's hit action adventure series Kung Fu as Jin Shen, a San Francisco restaurant owner and father of the show's heroine, Nicky Shen (played by Olivia Liang).
Born in Hong Kong and raised in Staten Island, Ma worked at his family-owned restaurant while honing his craft in the New York theater scene throughout the 1970s. Despite limited opportunities for AAPI actors, Ma refused to perform roles he considered demeaning or stereotypical. During this period, he collaborated with then-emerging playwrights David Henry Hwang and Eric Overmyer; who both penned works specifically for Ma (The Dance and the Railroad and In Perpetuity Throughout the Universe, respectively).
As a young adult, Ma was a ubiquitous presence in Manhattan's Chinatown where he worked as a counselor specializing in at-risk youth. Ma also volunteered for various community organizations; most notably, the Basement Workshop, a collective of Chinese American artists and activists seeking to promote the arts and arts education in the neighborhood.
In 1978, Ma made his screen debut alongside Jack Palance and Andy Warhol in the cult classic Cocaine Cowboys, directed by Ulli Lommel. Throughout the 1980s, Ma continued to perform in regional and off-Broadway productions while appearing as a guest star on hit television programs like The Equalizer, LA Law, MacGyver and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
During the 1990s, Ma became a ubiquitous presence at the multiplex with memorable roles in films like Rapid Fire (1992), Chain Reaction (1996), Dante's Peak (1997) and Rush Hour (1998).
Since 2000, Ma has successfully balanced a prolific film and television career; appearing in movies like The Quiet American (2002), The Ladykillers (2004), Rush Hour 3 (2007) and Arrival (2016) and playing recurring characters on popular shows like 24, American Dad!, Hell on Wheels, The Man in High Castle and Veep.
In addition to his many high-profile projects, Ma has also been active in the world of independent cinema for over two decades; appearing in features and short films by up-and-coming AAPI and Asian directors. Notable works include Mina Shum's Meditation Park (2017), for which he was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, and Lulu Wang's The Farewell (2019).
Now entering his fifth decade in show business, Ma continues to challenge himself with diverse and unconventional roles. In 2020, he earned some of the best reviews of his career with his performance in Netflix's Tigertail, in which he played a divorcee attempting to reconcile with his adult daughter. Later that year, Ma co-starred in Disney's action adventure Mulan, portraying the title character's doting father. In 2021, he joined the cast of The CW's Kung Fu, now in its third season.
Ma's upcoming projects include the Amazon film 5 Blind Dates and making his feature directorial debut with Hanako, a historical drama about Korea's "comfort women".Dr. Takashi- Actor

Eric Mabius was born in Pennsylvania, the second of two sons of Elizabeth (née Dziczek) and Craig Mabius. His father has Austrian and Irish ancestry, and his mother is of entirely Polish descent. Eric spent much of his early life in Massachusetts. Upon graduating from high school, he attended the renowned arts school, Sarah Lawrence College. Immersing himself in acting, writing and film theory, college became the jumping-off point for Mabius' first roles in the theater in smaller Off-Broadway productions.
He first came to the attention of movie fans with his film debut in Welcome to the Dollhouse (1995), where he played the object of Heather Matarazzo's character's affection, a teen rock star. Since then, he has taken on a wide variety of roles, avoiding being typecast. He has appeared in more than 27 films - seven of which screened at Sundance - and over a dozen television projects. He earned favorable notice for his performance as a high school gang leader in Black Circle Boys (1997). More roles followed, his best known being in the box office smash Cruel Intentions (1999), where he plays a prep school athlete who gets blackmailed. He got a starring role in The Crow: Salvation (2000), a sequel to the Brandon Lee film from a few years earlier. Another horror film which he appeared in was the science fiction action film Resident Evil (2002), in which he plays a policeman in the future. He won another prominent role in the Showtime TV drama The L Word (2004), which won him a new audience. He starred in another TV series, the high tech drama Eyes (2005), but although the series was well received, it never found an audience. But his standing wasn't damaged, and he continues to have a devoted fan base, particularly among audiences of independent films. In 2006, he gained more aplomb for his role in the surprise hit series Ugly Betty (2006), playing a womanizing executive. While he greatly appreciates his fans, he is a private person who does not seek the limelight. Thus, he does not show up at events which draw tabloid photographers.

As Dr. Lee on Stargate SG-1 (1997), he is the passionate, though sometimes slightly befuddled man of science who does his best to assist the warriors of Stargate Command; while on Da Vinci's Inquest (1998), the award-winning Canadian Drama, he plays Russ Hathaway, the mayor of Vancouver. These are just the latest in a long line of characters created for television series that range from sci-fi (Charles [Chuck] Burks, Agent Mulder's old college chum who dabbles in science and the occult on The X-Files (1993)), to prime time drama (Mr. Parkman, the teacher on Pasadena (2001)), to comedy (Bob Fraser, the owner and bartender of "The Fraser Arms" on Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998)). Bill Dow has played many other guest star and recurring roles in a variety of television series, Movies of the Week, and feature films, notably: Legends of the Fall (1994), Mr. Magoo (1997), Andre (1994), and Absolute Zero (2006).
In the theatre, Dow has directed several award winning productions for the Vancouver Playhouse (where he was Artistic Associate for many years) including an innovative and moving production of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men; he has performed many lead roles, including David Mamet's Oleanna, and most recently a Jessie award-winning performance as Martin Dysart in Peter Shaffer's Equus. His short film, The Alley, was nominated for several awards and invited to the international short film festival in Siena, Italy.
Dow is completing his M.A. in Liberal Studies at Simon Fraser University.CDC Examiner
