- DirectorFrank DarabontStarsAndrew LincolnJon BernthalSarah Wayne CalliesDeputy Sheriff Rick Grimes awakens from a coma, and searches for his family in a world ravaged by the undead. This episode really paved the way for how good this show can be. This episode introduces a lot of plots, characters, horror, a good cliffhanger, and great action in its 90 minute run. (9.7/10)
- DirectorErnest R. DickersonStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunRick and the group face imminent danger as The Governor tries to take the prison.
- DirectorErnest R. DickersonStarsAndrew LincolnSarah Wayne CalliesLaurie HoldenAfter months on the run, the group take refuge in a federal prison, while elsewhere, Andrea's health starts to deteriorate. This episode had it all, very dark/depressing feel, great zombie kills, LOTS of action, great character development, great cliffhanger, and even nods to characters we've lost that didn't feel forced. (10/10)
- DirectorGuy FerlandStarsAndrew LincolnSarah Wayne CalliesLaurie HoldenLori goes into labour when the prison comes under attack. Michonne tries to convince Andrea to leave Woodbury.Another action packed and depressing episode which could of done without the forced reveal of the trouble maker at the end of the episode. However, this episode is one of the most emotional and well acted TV episodes I have seen in years. (9.8/10)
- DirectorGuy FerlandStarsAndrew LincolnJon BernthalSarah Wayne CalliesShane's antagonistic behaviour reaches new heights, while Carl suffers the consequences of his actions. This episode was the penultimate episode of Season 2, it features a great sendoff to one of the most interesting characters on the show so far. It also had a great cliffhanger and the acting was fantastic as well. (9.7/10)
- DirectorDaniel SackheimStarsAndrew LincolnSarah Wayne CalliesLaurie HoldenMichonne leads Rick, Daryl and Oscar to Woodbury to rescue Glenn and Maggie. Merle tries to force information out of Glenn.Picking up right where the previous episode left of, this episode is another very dark and brutal episode which also has a good amount of action in it. The plot did seem to move a little too quick for its own good though. (9.2/10)
- DirectorGreg NicoteroStarsAndrew LincolnSarah Wayne CalliesLaurie HoldenWhile Rick decides the fate of Michonne, Merle takes matters into his own hand.Another tear jerking penultimate episode which seemed to copy the style of Season 2's "Better Angels". This time we are bidding farewell to Merle who was not arguably as strong as a character as Shane was. This episode featured a great "Dawn of the Dead" reference, good acting, and good action. My only problem with this episode is that parts of it felt a little unrealistic at times. (9.2/10)
- DirectorTricia BrockStarsAndrew LincolnSarah Wayne CalliesLaurie HoldenRick runs into a familiar face when he, Carl and Michonne head back to Rick's hometown for more guns to fortify themselves against The Governor. An overall well rounded episode which like "This Sorrowful Life", felt a tad unrealistic at times with mediocre effects. However, the chemistry between returning actor Lennie James and Andrew Lincoln was fantastic . This episode also managed to juggle a plot with only four characters which should also proves a notable feat. (9.1/10)
- DirectorErnest R. DickersonStarsAndrew LincolnJon BernthalSarah Wayne CalliesAs the farm is overrun by walkers, the group fights to escape. This episode is action and horror heavy. However, the second half of the episode seems to be slower than the first half and the editing seemed to be all over the place. However, it featured a great ending speech which leads into Season 3 nicely. (9.1/10)
- DirectorErnest R. DickersonStarsAndrew LincolnJon BernthalSarah Wayne CalliesRick and Shane argue over what to do with Randall. Back at the farm, Lori, Andrea and Maggie deal with a suicidal Beth.If the Shane-Rick part of this episode could of been a standalone episode, it would of definitely been in my top 5. it featured a great story of how two former friends are slowly going separate ways and this plot also has a fair amount of action in it. However, the other plot of this episode is not well acted and is unfortunately a tad boring and wasn't very important to the plot. (9/10)
- DirectorErnest R. DickersonStarsAndrew LincolnJon BernthalSarah Wayne CalliesAfter the attack on the camp, Rick leads the survivors to the C.D.C., in the hope that they can cure an infected Jim.A good penultimate episode of Season 1 which relied heavily on Emotion and didn't disappoint in that department. It also featured a fairly decent cliff hanger. The acting ranged from great (Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal) to decent (Jenner, Jacqui) (9/10)
