I'll require that it is a permanent move, not just a vacation home (Funny Games) or a temporary stay (Hostel). However I am going to be pretty lax on the "horror/scary" requirement though (The Firm).
I also didn't bother including all sequels (Amityville Horror II: The Possession) or multiple remakes (Amityville Horror 2005).
