- DirectorPeter BisanzStarsMouneer AnisKaren ArmstrongDato' Seri Abdullah Ahmad BadawiWith all of the problems facing the world today -- war, poverty, weapons, environmental degradation, starvation, overpopulation and severe desperation among millions -- people are longing for meaning. Many find answers in religion or spirituality, but as a result faith and religion are often hijacked by those seeking to enhance their own power at the expense of others, often all in the name of God. With this dichotomy in mind, "Beyond Our Differences" calls upon key religious leaders, politicians, and luminaries in their fields to tackle the toughest and most complex issues in the modern age, and it asks what it is that inspires them to affect positive change. "Beyond Our Differences" shares their personal experiences and each person provides a unique perspective on how to support and strengthen compassionate and non-violent activism when resolving difficult disputes. One provides a tapestry of distinct voices and viewpoints regarding spirituality, woven with one universal expression of hope. By providing such a variety of experiences in such an accessible format, we hope that individual viewers will understand this unified message of hope and will become empowered through their own expressions of faith to impact positive change in their lives and the lives of others.

- DirectorLola CreelStarsRip BrarPeter CoyoteArun Mathai'Journey of Hanuman' preserves moments still existing in India that have not been disturbed by globalization and are connected with the antique spiritual knowledge of India. I wanted to link such scenes with two great poets: Octavio Paz, the famous writer, noble prize recipient of Mexico, who served as Mexico's ambassador to India from 1962 to 1968, a time of rapid change and open creativity. The spiritual bond between the famous writer and the people of India, and his love poems written there, became a source of inspiration to the world. I also related this film with the poet Valmiky who wrote the Sanskrit epic 'The Ramayana'; love and adventure scenes are performed underwater. This story is on the heart of the Indian people and shows the highest love between Rama and Sita, and the fight against the corruption of demon Ravana. Hanuman is the great warrior god of this epic and film.

Landing downstream, he begins a 7 year barefoot trek that will cover 8,000 miles through much of India. The young Yogi impresses everyone he meets, providing spiritual inspiration, but declines offers to remain in the villages he visits. He tames a fearsome lion terrorizing one village. Heading into the Himalayas barefoot, and wearing little clothing, he survives freezing temperatures using Yoga and meditation. He crosses a pass at 18,000 feet and treks through the deepest gorge in the world before transversing rain forests, jungles and following coastlines. At Jagannath Puri he is invited by the king to take part in the annual Rath Yatra (Festival of Chariots). Finally he ends his journey in the village Loj in Gujarat where the great teacher Ramanand Swami convinces him to take his place. Neelkanth becomes Bhagwan Swaminarayan whose lessons still inspire millions to find unity in their diversity.
