- DirectorMatt Earl BeesleyStarsMickey RourkeDanny TrejoFrederic ForrestConvicted corporate criminal Howard engineers a prison break as he and a number of fellow inmates are being transferred to a new facility. The escapees storm a shopping mall and take a group of shoppers hostage (after killing many more of them) before making their demands. Only Rudy, a former mercenary and brother of one of the fugitives, can take out the criminals before more of the hostages die.Perhaps not Micky's greatest, but surely one of Danny Trejo's - his comment: "what did I do?" is priceless.
- DirectorCraig R. BaxleyStarsBrian BosworthLance HenriksenWilliam ForsytheA tough Alabama cop is blackmailed by the FBI into going undercover in a violent Mississippi biker gang.Sports stars rarely do well in the Pictures but Brian Bosworth is decent in this Movie, but, as Always, Lance Henriksen steals the moment as the creepy gangleader. William Forsythe is also great, and he is one of Hollywwod's most underrated actors.
- DirectorAlbert PyunStarsOlivier GrunerTim ThomersonCary-Hiroyuki TagawaAlex, a burned out LA cyborg cop, is forced by commissioner Farnsworth to find his former cyborg partner and lover Jared who's about to deliver sensitive data to cyborg terrorists who wish to wage war against humans. Is he being played?Original title: "Nemesis". Gruner never took on me as an actor, but this Movie is one of the best b-Movies ever made. At least within the action/cyborg/science fiction genre(s). The story is of course worn out, but the sfx and the cyborgs are fantastic - for the 90's that is, but they still hold.
- DirectorMark L. LesterStarsBradley GreggTraci LindMalcolm McDowellThree ex-military robots are reprogrammed as teachers and secretly placed in a school where most students are part of organized gangs. They begin to respond violently to unruly students, and their military training starts to take over. This Movie does not hold the same quality as Nemesis (1992). The acting is poor besides that of Stacy Keach and the main villain Patrick Kilpatrick, but the cyborg-effects are decent.
- DirectorWilliam KaufmanStarsJohnny StrongKevin PhillipsCostas MandylorTwo New Orleans cops are up against an extremely violent gang.Plain b-Movie action, but pretty good as such. The beginning is the best when Kim Coats (Sons of anarchy star) tells a joke.
- DirectorJoseph ZitoStarsDolph LundgrenM. Emmet WalshAl WhiteA Spetsnaz commando is sent on a covert mission by his Soviet superiors to infiltrate a rebel army and assassinate its leader. The sun over Dolph Lundgren is rapidly setting. His greatest Movies are well in his past. However, Red Scorpion is entertaining and violent - try to find the uncut version of this one.
- DirectorPerry LangStarsDolph LundgrenCharlotte LewisBD WongA former Special Ops soldier leads a group of mercenaries to an island in the South China Sea: their mission is obtain the rights to the unusual treasure that the island beholds.A Classic "Seven Samurai" (1954) theme, but entertaining, and Dolph speaks Swedish!! It is good, with known actors in almost every part. Best is the late Trevor Goddard, one of my favorite villains of all time.
- DirectorJohn WooStarsJean-Claude Van DammeLance HenriksenYancy ButlerA woman hires a drifter as her guide through New Orleans in search of her missing father. In the process, they discover a deadly game of cat and mouse behind his disappearance. The usual van damme flick, but once again Henriksen delivers as the badguy. his "oops" in the end is hilarious and a Classic.
