1. Legend of the Seeker (2008–2010)

TV-14 | 44 min | Action, Adventure, Drama

After the mysterious murder of his father, a son's search for answers begins a momentous fight against tyranny.

Stars: Craig Horner, Bridget Regan, Bruce Spence, Craig Parker

Votes: 36,270

What a missed opportunity. I've read the books this series is based on and it could have been as good as "Game of Thrones"! Instead they hammed it up and dumbed it down making it more "Zena/Hercules" like. And what's with the casting? The main character is supposed to be a huge hulking lumberjack, not a skinny, prettyboy twerp.

2. Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 (2012–2013)

TV-14 | 22 min | Comedy

Chloe is a New York party girl with the morals of a pirate. She causes trouble for her best friend James Van Der Beek and her naive small-town roommate June.

Stars: Krysten Ritter, Dreama Walker, Michael Blaiklock, Eric André

Votes: 40,390

Not one likeable character, even the blonde bimbo roommate is too stupid to live.

3. Lie to Me (2009–2011)

TV-14 | 43 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery

About Cal Lightman, the world's leading deception expert who studies facial expressions and involuntary body language to expose the truth behind the lies.

Stars: Tim Roth, Kelli Williams, Brendan Hines, Monica Raymund

Votes: 127,786

There's only so much you can take of Tim Roth, tilting his head and sneering "You're lying, you're lying!" in every episode.

4. Banshee (2013–2016)

TV-MA | 60 min | Action, Crime, Drama

An ex-con assumes the identity of a murdered sheriff in the small town of Banshee, Pennsylvania, where he has some unfinished business.

Stars: Antony Starr, Ivana Milicevic, Ulrich Thomsen, Frankie Faison

Votes: 123,448

If good old fashioned violence and sexual content is all you look for in a series, then this is the show for you. But if you also like a storyline to go with, then best stay away.

5. Revenge (2011–2015)

TV-14 | 44 min | Drama, Mystery, Thriller

An emotionally troubled young woman sets out to exact revenge against the people who wronged her father.

Stars: Madeleine Stowe, Emily VanCamp, Gabriel Mann, Nick Wechsler

Votes: 125,049

Managed to get through the whole first series, but with each episode it began to feel more and more like I was watching "Days of our lives". It was a good idea, badly, soapily enacted.

6. The Following (2013–2015)

TV-14 | 43 min | Crime, Drama, Horror

A brilliant, charismatic, and psychotic serial killer communicates with other active serial killers and activates a cult of believers who follow his every command.

Stars: Kevin Bacon, James Purefoy, Shawn Ashmore, Valorie Curry

Votes: 91,465

I actually enjoyed the first few episodes but it started to become more and more preposterous as the series developed. Fair play to Joe Carroll I say. He found and recruited an actual army of psychopathic sheep to do his bidding while imprisoned. With that kind of insanely devoted following, watch out for Joe becoming the next republican presedential candidate! Too political?

7. Touch (2012–2013)

TV-PG | 43 min | Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi

A widower struggling to raise his emotionally challenged son discovers that he can predict events before they happen.

Stars: Kiefer Sutherland, David Mazouz, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Lukas Haas

Votes: 43,405

I like Keifer Sutherland, but c'mon! Way too preachy for my liking.

8. Cougar Town (2009–2015)

TV-14 | 22 min | Comedy, Romance

Follows the escapades and relationships of a group of neighbors living in Gulfhaven, Florida.

Stars: Courteney Cox, Christa Miller, Busy Philipps, Dan Byrd

Votes: 45,866

My God, these women are skanks! Again, not enough to find likeable in the characters to keep watching. Courteney, you are doing mature women no favours.

9. Body of Proof (2011–2013)

TV-14 | 60 min | Comedy, Crime, Drama

Medical examiner Megan Hunt's unique approach to solving crimes puts her at odds with her superiors.

Stars: Dana Delany, Jeri Ryan, Geoffrey Arend, Windell Middlebrooks

Votes: 19,914

Too full of cliché and stereotype for me. Its on this list through my own fault, I thought it had something to do with Patricia Cornwall's books so I was expecting it to be good.

10. Under the Dome (2013–2015)

TV-14 | 1,668 min | Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi

An invisible and mysterious force field descends upon the small town of Chester's Mill, Maine, USA, trapping residents inside, cut off from the rest of civilization. The trapped townspeople must discover the secrets and purpose of the "dome" or "sphere" and its origins, while coming to learn more than they ever knew about each other and animals too.

Stars: Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, Alexander Koch, Colin Ford

Votes: 112,463

"Lost" anyone? Bet they're all dead but just don't know it! I'm sorry, might turn out to be good, watched the whole first series and most of the characters annoy me.

11. Arrow (2012–2020)

TV-14 | 42 min | Action, Adventure, Crime

Spoiled billionaire playboy Oliver Queen is missing and presumed dead when his yacht is lost at sea. He returns five years later a changed man, determined to clean up the city as a hooded vigilante armed with a bow.

Stars: Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey, Susanna Thompson

Votes: 445,934

Maybe I just didn't give this one long enough to develope. I lasted 3 episodes and found I was actually cringing, it was so bad. But people seem to love it, 136,000 IMDB voters can't be wrong, can they?

12. Andromeda (2000–2005)

TV-PG | 43 min | Action, Adventure, Drama

Captain Dylan Hunt and the crew of the Andromeda Ascendant set out on a mission to rebuild the Systems Commonwealth 300 years after its fall.

Stars: Kevin Sorbo, Lisa Ryder, Laura Bertram, Gordon Michael Woolvett

Votes: 14,819

It could have been good, but one dimensional characters and overly moral storylines made this feel very childish. Kevi Sorbo might as well have been dressed as Hercules, as he brought nothing new to this character.

13. Flashforward (2009–2010)

TV-14 | 42 min | Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi

A special task force in the FBI investigates after every person on Earth simultaneously blacks out and awakens with a short vision of their future.

Stars: Courtney B. Vance, Joseph Fiennes, Jack Davenport, Zachary Knighton

Votes: 62,084

Oh God, "Lost" again. Just too damn confusing, tried to be grand and epic in scale, came off as fragmented and a little "lost"

14. The Event (2010–2011)

TV-14 | 43 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery

When a man goes looking for his missing girlfriend, he stumbles upon a government conspiracy that is bigger than the President himself.

Stars: Jason Ritter, Sarah Roemer, Ian Anthony Dale, Zeljko Ivanek

Votes: 26,581

"Lost" has a lot to answer for. Nice plane crash, but too much mystery, not enough character development left you not really caring. Found I could live quite happily not knowing what the Event actually was.

15. Episodes (2011–2017)

TV-MA | 30 min | Comedy

A couple of British TV producers move to Hollywood to export their most popular series, and find it is not what they expected.

Stars: Matt LeBlanc, Stephen Mangan, Tamsin Greig, John Pankow

Votes: 36,557

Had such high hopes for this show as I love all the main actors. Found it very slow moving, irritating and unfunny.

16. Camelot (2011)

TV-MA | 45 min | Drama, Fantasy

When King Uther dies and Britain faces chaos, Merlin presents an unknown named Arthur as the new king by birthright, as the late king's son, against the ambitious desires of his half-sister, Morgan.

Stars: Joseph Fiennes, Jamie Campbell Bower, Tamsin Egerton, Peter Mooney

Votes: 24,642

Maybe I let my intense dislike of the main actor, Jamie Campbell Bower, influence this. Its not that I hate the actor, I'm sure he's a lovely fella, but he just portrayed Arther as being too petty, whiney, unlikeable for me to invest my time in the show.

17. Devious Maids (2013–2016)

TV-PG | 60 min | Comedy, Drama, Mystery

Four Latina maids with ambition and dreams of their own work for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills.

Stars: Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramirez, Roselyn Sanchez, Judy Reyes

Votes: 25,618

I thought it was going to be a piss-take drama, but found it was more soap than comedy to sit through it.

18. The Inbetweeners (2008–2010)

TV-14 | 25 min | Comedy

Follows four friends and their antics during their final years of school.

Stars: Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, Joe Thomas

Votes: 94,310

Controversial I know. Lots of people love The Inbetweeners, but there is not one redeeming feature between the lot of them. Hard to warch a show when you would happily strangle every character.

19. The Tomorrow People (2013–2014)

TV-14 | 43 min | Action, Drama, Sci-Fi

Stephen helps genetically advanced teenagers hide from a paramilitary group hunting them down.

Stars: Robbie Amell, Peyton List, Luke Mitchell, Aaron Yoo

Votes: 37,139

They remake this every 20 years, I think its got a lot of potential, just need to wait for a remake not marketed at teen girls.

20. Burn Notice (2007–2013)

TV-PG | 44 min | Action, Crime, Drama

A spy recently disavowed by the U.S. government uses his special ops training to help others in trouble.

Stars: Jeffrey Donovan, Gabrielle Anwar, Bruce Campbell, Sharon Gless

Votes: 79,140

Just found Jeffrey Donovans, botox-like lack of facial expression too much to bear as he shuffles through each episode. Pity, cos I love Bruce Campbell.

21. Ray Donovan (2013–2020)

TV-MA | 60 min | Crime, Drama

Ray Donovan, a professional "fixer" for the rich and famous in Los Angeles, can make anyone's problems disappear except those created by his own family.

Stars: Liev Schreiber, Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Pooch Hall

Votes: 93,507

Interesting idea, really unlikeable characters. Found myself halfway through the first season not really caring what happened to them.

22. Psych (2006–2014)

TV-PG | 44 min | Comedy, Crime, Mystery

When a novice sleuth convinces the police he has psychic powers, he and his reluctant best friend are hired on as consultants to help solve complicated cases.

Stars: James Roday Rodriguez, Dulé Hill, Timothy Omundson, Corbin Bernsen

Votes: 105,682

I love the mentalist. Monk and Numbers I can take or leave. But the main character in Psych just really irritates me.

23. Life's Too Short (2011–2013)

TV-MA | 30 min | Comedy

The show centers on Warwick Davis in his day-to-day life, complete with the frustrations he faces.

Stars: Warwick Davis, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Rosamund Hanson

Votes: 16,466

I love Warwick Davis, and I thought Id love this but its just too cringeworthy for me. Then again, I wasn't a fan of the office ( loved extras!)

24. Grimm (2011–2017)

TV-14 | 45 min | Crime, Drama, Fantasy

A homicide detective discovers he is a descendant of hunters who fight supernatural forces.

Stars: David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz

Votes: 130,633

Good concept, just a little childish. Could have been played a little darker, too cheesy for my liking.

25. Dollhouse (2009–2010)

TV-14 | 44 min | Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi

A top secret organization erases the identities of attractive young people, turning them into blank "dolls" ready for imprints of temporary identities they need to fulfill assignments for clients.

Stars: Eliza Dushku, Harry Lennix, Fran Kranz, Tahmoh Penikett

Votes: 51,785

Just found this show intensely annoying
