- StarsIan HolmWilliam HootkinsTeo Ao Tahara-ReeseThe first episode shows audiences the American Serengeti that was once North America, and the unearthing of a Clovis child who came from some of the earliest settlers of Montana. The people hunt Caribou and Mammoths as they hide from the Smilodon and run from Arctodus simus - the dreaded Short-Faced Bear. The second episode is set 65,000 years ago, Australia was a forested land of many green plants and megafauna such as Diprotodon. The continent also housed territorial large birds like genyornis and the menacing giant monitor lizard Magalania. The ancient Aborigine found their way to the shores of this strange land of giant Marsupials and Reptiles. The third and final episode is set in the 1200s, and we catch a glimpse of the Maori traveling to New Zealand after their hero Kupe first discovered this magnificent world of birds and flightless bats. They develop a taste for Giant Moa just as the amazing Haast's Eagle had a new taste for man. However, the fastest extinction process wiped the Moa out, and the Haast's Eagle would follow the bird. The episode continues to show how Hawaii and (to an even more horrifying extent) Easter Island suffered the same fate in the end of the episode.

But the villagers' peace and quiet vanishes when the news story circulates around the globe like a viral video that this close-knit community of 194 inhabitants will be the only place on the planet to survive the December 21st apocalypse foretold by the Mayans. 'Bugarach' dives deep into the subject of the apocalypse to reflect on the fears and coping strategies of humankind in times of deep material and spiritual crisis in the Western world.

- DirectorDiana FabianovaDiana is not the only one for whom the monthly period is no fun at all. Headaches, nausea, depression -- why is it so widely accepted that women all over the world should feel so lousy on a regular basis? And why is the subject still not openly discussed? With a keen sense of perspective, humor, and self-mockery, Diana goes in search of answers. The most wide-ranging theories put forward by anthropologists, psychologists, journalists, gynecologists, and belly-dance teachers are intercut with old-fashioned information films and animated clips. The connecting factor throughout the film is 11-year-old Dominika, who keeps the audience updated about her impending menstruation, bringing up all kinds of questions. Why is blue liquid used in advertisements for sanitary napkins? Is the pill being used to adjust our body's rhythm to that of a male-dominated society? Why do we bleed when, in nature, blood is synonymous with death? Diana's quest brings her a deeper understanding and appreciation of her body. And also of her moods, because as one expert claims, whereas women are sometimes perceived to be complaining during menstruation, it is actually the hormones giving them the courage to finally say what they really always thought.
- DirectorNadia El FaniAlina Isabel PérezStarsNadia El FaniI have always considered that my films are focused on this single topic: freedom. During the shooting of Laïcité, Inch'Allah! (2011), I had no other choice than affronting Islamic fundamentalists: it was like a "war". At the same time I discovered the corridors of Tenon Hospital in Paris. I had to face cancer, a second enemy.

- DirectorLiz FriendIn this one-hour special, we'll profile families who've dedicated themselves full-time to raising "monkids", or primates that are treated as family members. Our monkey parents will share with us the unique reasons why they own primates, from wanting a 'forever baby' to coping with empty nest syndrome. We'll join our families as they try to overcome the challenges of parenting a monkey. We'll also get inside our character's heads by visiting top experts to find out the psychological impulses that may drive monkey parents to love an animal most say should be behind zoo bars or out in the wild. This is a co-production with Zig Zag Productions Ltd. (UK).
