Taylor Sheridan
Taylor Sheridan is nominated in the Best Original Screenplay category for Hell or High Water. Sheridan made a name for himself as an actor on TV shows by playing Danny Boydon Veronica Mars and Deputy Chief David Hale on Sons of Anarchy before shifting his attention to writing for the big screen. Sheridan's first screenplay, Sicario, earned him a Writers Guild of America nomination. In 2017, Sheridan will make his directorial debut with the crime thriller Wind River — which he wrote as well — featuring Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen. Sheridan also wrote a follow-up to Sicario titled Soldado and directed by Stefano Sollima which is expected to be released later this year.
