Biggest "Jump the Shark" Moment
The term "jump the shark" is used to describe a moment when something that was once great has reached a point where it will now decline in quality. This moment is usually marked by a scene or event which is so ridiculous and out of character for the show that it is obviously a desperate grab for ratings. The term was coined in describing an episode of Happy Days (1974) where a water-skiing Fonzie, wearing his trademark leather jacket with a floaty belt, actually jumped over a shark tank.
