Actors I miss

You don't see these guys in much these days. I miss them. I remember "Discovering" them 20 years ago or so. I wish these guys would be in more movies - or at least more movies I have access to.

1. Jonathan Pryce

Actor | The Two Popes

Jonathan Pryce was born on June 1, 1947 in Holywell, Flintshire, Wales, UK. He is an actor and producer, known for The Two Popes (2019), The Wife (2017) and Tomorrow Never Dies (1997). He has been married to Kate Fahy since April 2015. They have three children.

I remember first seeing him in Brazil. I always loved his voice and thought he was a great actor. He hasn't been in a whole lot. I know he was in the Pirates movies, but he hasn't been in a whole lot of GOOD movies lately!

2. Richard E. Grant

Actor | Gosford Park

Richard E. Grant is an actor and presenter. He made his film debut as Withnail in the comedy Withnail and I (1987). Grant received critical acclaim for his role as Jack Hock in Marielle Heller's drama film Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2018), winning various awards including the Independent Spirit ...

"A Merry War" or "Keep the Aspidistra Flying". Read the book after seeing him in the movie. I loved him in that film - but he hasn't done a whole lot - at least not a whole lot that I've seen! Recently saw him in some smaller independent film from England and thought "Oh yeah, why don't I see him in more stuff?"

3. Martin Donovan

Actor | Tenet

Martin Donovan was born in Reseda, California, USA. He is an actor and director, known for Tenet (2020), Big Little Lies (2017) and Special Ops: Lioness (2023). He has been married to Vivian Lanko since 1984. They have two children.

First seen in "Trust". I was big into Independent film back then. Sure he had a bit part in Ant Man or whatever. Not enough. I want more!

4. Daniel Day-Lewis

Actor | There Will Be Blood

Born in London, England, Daniel Michael Blake Day-Lewis is the second child of Cecil Day-Lewis, Poet Laureate of the U.K., and his second wife, actress Jill Balcon. His maternal grandfather was Sir Michael Balcon, an important figure in the history of British cinema and head of the famous Ealing ...

I know he's awesome and doesn't like to do much. Just wish we saw more of this one.

5. Bridget Fonda

Actress | A Simple Plan

Bridget Jane Fonda was born in Los Angeles, California, to Susan Brewer and actor Peter Fonda. She is the granddaughter of Henry Fonda and niece of Jane Fonda, both famous actors. Bridget made her film debut at age five as an extra in Easy Rider (1969), but first became interested in acting after ...

I miss her in film. She was in "Singles" - an iconic movie of my college years. Really wish she did more.

6. Ray Liotta

Actor | Narc

Intense was the word for Ray Liotta. He specialized in psychopathic characters who hide behind a cultivated charm. Even in his nice-guy roles in Field of Dreams (1989) and Operation Dumbo Drop (1995), you get the impression that something is smoldering inside of him. He was born in Newark, New ...

Ray! Where ya been? I first saw Ray in Goodfellas, then practically nothing else since then. Sure, he's been in a few movies here and there, but they're not memorable, and none of the roles really take advantage as to what he can offer. I know he's picky in the roles he chooses, and likes characters or films with a twist of some sort. But come on buddy - please be in more mainstream stuff so we get to see you!!!!
