Physically Imposing Actors

Listed at 7' 1". More famous for NBA performance, and this has allowed him to be in a few movies, but his inclusion here is more as a height reference for other actors

7' 1" Ian Whyte barely made this list. While he is tall and imposing, he is really almost exclusively doing costumed characters like the giants in Game of Thrones and the creature in Prometheus. Still, he's had a few rolls playing a normal (albeit large) human so I included him

7' 1". Probably the quintessential 'physically imposing actor'.

7' To date, has been a supporting actor in a few B movies and bit rolls in various TV shows such as Sons of Anarchy.

As a wrestler was billed at 7' 4" but that was inaccurate, actually was just slightly over 7'', but matched this height with a broad shouldered build and barrel shaped girth. While he gained fame as a wrestler, he combined his fame and size to land a surprising number of rolls.

You most recently saw him in Mad Max Fury Road. While he has done a lot of work his other noteworthy appearance was the muscle bound champion killed by Achilles (Brad Pitt) in Troy

6' 10.5" He will be portraying Colossus in some upcoming Marvel movies. Has a long list of playing one shot bit rolls as a big man in various TV series such as Motive, King & Maxwell, Continuum, Arctic Air, and Once Upon a Time.

"Big Dave" is listed at 6' 10". He has had many minor screen appearances playing big characters on various TV dramas or comedies including iCarly, Reno 911, Charmed, NCIS, and How I Met Your Mother. He played the title roll in one of the Toxic Avenger movies, but of course was in heavy makeup for that.

Nicknamed Bonecrusher this 6' 10" actor is best know for House of 1000 corpses but has had appearances playing physically imposing characters in such TV shows as Justified, Person of Interest, Weeds, Criminal Minds, and Dharma & Greg

While this 6' 10" actor started out as a wrestler, Robert has transitioned to movies and TV. Best known as the towering Dredger in Sherlock Holmes, he is also known for the recurring role of Heavy in Haven. He is playing 'Master' in the TV series Strain, although in costume.

This 6' 9" Icelandic Giant with a muscular frame has competed in the World's Strongest Man competitions, and has made top 3 on three different occasions. He broke into acting playing Gregor Clegane on Game of Thrones, being the shortest of the three actors to be in that roll.

Like many here, This 6' 8" actor had a career in wrestling before moving over to TV and Film. Mane in costume played Sabertooth in the various X-men and Wolverine films. He played Ajax the Greater, the largest hero on the side of the Greeks in the movie Troy, and has had many other small roles in TV and movies, plus a recurring role in the series Chopper.

This 6' 8" actor broke into the industry playing a convict in the movie Hancock and has had a handful of bit roles since then.

This iron faced 6' 8" retired wrestler moved from his low notice WWE identity of 'Big Guido' to appear in a handful of shorts, and small roles in TV series.

John had a small stint in the WWE before becoming a bodyguard then club owner. The acting bug bit him later in life. He has been a stuntman as well as a writer. His 6'6" size and 300 pounds of muscle have made him a popular choice for portraying bad guys, especially bikers.

6' 5" and with a very muscular frame Joe was able to appear physically imposing even when playing opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger. He is probably best known for his role of Alcide Herveaux on True Blood.

At 6' 5" Bryniarski made his biggest impact in horror movies behind masks, but has also established himself as being able to handle more mainstream roles as well.

Not even tiny on this list, at 6' 5" he has landed hundreds of rolls that called for a large intimidating presence.

Dolf is 6' 5" and after his appearance on Rocky IV in 1985 has had a steady stream of rolls in TV or movies

Hailing from Hawaii, 6' 4" Jason is another actor to have played Conan, as well as Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones and Dex on Star Gate: Atlantis. He's come a long ways since his Baywatch days.

6' 4" you are most likely to currently see him on Agents of SHIELD but you may have seen him in NYPD Blue, Shark, or Ravenswood, all TV series where he was a regular.

This 6' 4" Irishman is probably best known as Titus Pullo from HBO's Rome.
