Sometimes director, actor and scene make memorable music together. Here are fifteen choices spanning the 25 years from 1948-1973 -- that last gasp of great cinema before film entered post-modernism. The first ten on my list are memorable dramatic moments from memorable dramas; the last five reflect the delight of the musical.
