I watched Curtis agree to every change that the financiers were asking him to do, and then just not do them. I could see the tension in him some days because he was being asked to change something that he fundamentally believed should be in his film. So he just engineered a way to make it appear that he was acquiescing but he was still sticking to his guns and shooting what he needed to shoot. So that was a great lesson.
