"Empire" Season 2: Taraji P. Henson Teases Love Interests, Flashbacks, and More
If you haven't finished watching "Empire" Season 1, here’s your warning: Spoilers below!
In the final episode of "Empire’s" first season, "Who I Am," Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) nearly suffocates her ex-husband (and CEO of Empire Entertainment) Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) with a pillow when she finds out he murdered her cousin Bunkie (Antoine McKay) in cold blood. Although she decides not to snitch on him, Lucious still lands in jail for the murder. The question is, if not Cookie, who put him there?
We’ll find out when the series, which hit record numbers throughout its 12-episode debut (and spent 9 weeks in IMDb's top 50 most popular TV shows), returns to FOX on Wednesday, September 23. Taraji P. Henson gives IMDb the lowdown on what to expect from the Queen of One-liners and why she thinks fans are on board the Cookie train. — Carita Rizzo
