Dennis Hopper
Was known for being very volatile and, at times, violent on film sets.
Hopper was difficult on the set of From Hell to Texas (1958), clashing heavily with director Henry Hathaway. He walked off the set numerous times and refused to take any direction given to him.
Hopper was also very difficult on the set of Easy Rider (1969). Hopper was in a state of drug-induced paranoia throughout the shoot, causing him to scream at and get into physical confrontations with the crew, leading many of them to quit. He also clashed heavily with co-star Peter Fonda.
While meeting with Rip Torn to discuss him playing a role in the film, Hopper made derogatory comments towards Torn, and pulled a knife on him, causing Torn to withdraw from the project.
