Difficult Actors to Work With10 of 48
Wesley Snipes
Was highly erratic and disruptive on the set of Blade: Trinity (2004).
Snipes' insane behavior during the shoot included only answering to the name, 'Blade', only communicating with people using post-it notes, staying in his trailer and smoking massive amounts of marijuana all day, calling co-star Ryan Reynolds a 'cracker', and only filming his close-ups and leaving the rest of his scenes to be filmed using his stand-in.
Snipes was also violent towards writer/director David S. Goyer one day on set. Co-star Patton Oswalt once recalled the incident, saying, "I remember one day on the set - they let everyone pick their own clothes - there was one black actor who was also kind of a club kid. And he wore this shirt with the word "Garbage" on it in big stylish letters. It was his shirt. And Wesley came down to the set... he comes on and goes, "There's only one other black guy in the movie, and you make him wear a shirt that says 'Garbage?' You racist motherfucker! And he tried to strangle the director."
The incident caused Goyer to hire a group of bikers to serve as his bodyguards the next day. He would later go on to call the production "the most personally and professionally difficult and painful thing I've ever been through."
