- DirectorStiles WhiteStarsOlivia CookeAna CotoDaren KagasoffA group of friends must confront their most terrifying fears when they awaken the dark powers of an ancient spirit board. And I thought "The Marked Ones" was bad, but this is the absolute worst... I mean I didn't even finish it cuz it was painful to watch with no redeem quality through the entirety of this film and Ouija should be left alone.
- DirectorChristopher LandonStarsAndrew JacobsJorge DiazGabrielle WalshWhen a young man becomes the target of a malevolent entity, he must uncover its true intentions before it takes complete control of him.To be completely honest I almost placed The Marked Ones on the No. 1 spot cuz It got me away from horror films for a year.
- DirectorVic ArmstrongStarsNicolas CageLea ThompsonCassi ThomsonA small group of survivors is left behind after millions of people suddenly vanish and the world is plunged into chaos and destruction. All trash, Vic Armstrong should really be ashamed of himself... Left Behind is just a pathetic waste with far too many problems and is utterly boring and un-entertaining overall.
- DirectorRenny HarlinStarsKellan LutzGaia WeissScott AdkinsThe origin story of the mythical Greek hero. Betrayed by his stepfather, the King, and exiled and sold into slavery because of a forbidden love, Hercules must use his formidable powers to fight his way back to his rightful kingdom.Do not bother wasting time, Avoid The Legend of Hercules at all costs and watch Disney's animated film or The Rock's version instead.
- DirectorDavid Robert MitchellStarsMaika MonroeKeir GilchristOlivia LuccardiA young woman is followed by an unknown supernatural force after a sexual encounter. Are you kidding me now critics, horror films such as this one for example don't do very well... It Follows should've been called It Blows instead cuz actors in it blow the fuse on this crap.
- DirectorSeth MacFarlaneStarsSeth MacFarlaneCharlize TheronLiam NeesonAs a cowardly farmer begins to fall for the mysterious new woman in town, he must put his newly found courage to the test when her husband, a notorious gun-slinger, announces his arrival. Not for comedic geniuses but it is more for few immature people and fans of "Family Guy" viewers only, I seriously think that A Million Ways to Die in the West had jokes I laughed at, but there are plenty of better comedies out there.
- DirectorGareth EdwardsStarsAaron Taylor-JohnsonElizabeth OlsenBryan CranstonThe world is beset by the appearance of monstrous creatures, but one of them may be the only one who can save humanity.Do you remember the Japanese original?
That's apparently the best one made.
and do you also remember that crappy 1998 Ronald Emerich film? cuz I certainly do not.
This reboot is better... However it had problems, with actors you won't care about and worst of all it is forgettable and a boring one also, still not the worst Godzilla film tho. - DirectorMarc WebbStarsAndrew GarfieldEmma StoneJamie FoxxWhen New York is put under siege by Oscorp, it is up to Spider-Man to save the city he swore to protect as well as his loved ones. It's good to finally see Andrew Garfield in another Spiderman movie and some of the scenes were fun to watch but The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is nowhere near as good as "The First Amazing Spiderman", in fact this is massively dissapointing as shit.
- DirectorChristopher NolanStarsMatthew McConaugheyAnne HathawayJessica ChastainWhen Earth becomes uninhabitable in the future, a farmer and ex-NASA pilot, Joseph Cooper, is tasked to pilot a spacecraft, along with a team of researchers, to find a new planet for humans. The cinematography was alright, and it was kind of decent but I felt bored through Interstellar and that's quite possibly the worst part about it.
- DirectorMichael BayStarsMark WahlbergNicola Peltz BeckhamJack ReynorWhen humanity allies with a bounty hunter in pursuit of Optimus Prime, the Autobots turn to a mechanic and his family for help.In my personal opinion... this did improve over the last one, it does have room for more but at least we don't have the model who can't act anymore but I still think Transformers: Age of Extinction was better than I expected but still a disappoinment.
- DirectorRoger DonaldsonStarsPierce BrosnanLuke BraceyOlga KurylenkoAn ex-C.I.A. operative is brought back in on a very personal mission and finds himself pitted against his former pupil in a deadly game involving high-level C.I.A. officials and the Russian President-elect.I won't worry about watching The November Man again cuz it wasn't playing much in theatres or other personal devices in my country, even with Mr. Bronson.
- DirectorGary ShoreStarsLuke EvansDominic CooperSarah GadonAs his kingdom is being threatened by the Turks, young prince Vlad Tepes must become a monster feared by his own people in order to obtain the power needed to protect his own family, and the families of his kingdom.I wanted to fully like this film, still... Dracula Untold was a good film until the crap ending.
- DirectorPaco CabezasStarsNicolas CageRachel NicholsMax RyanWhen the daughter of a reformed criminal is kidnapped, he rounds up his old crew and seeks his own brand of justice.I say... Tokarev (Rage) or whatever you wanna call it wasn't an enjoyable one, but it can interest action fans.
- DirectorDavid AyerStarsArnold SchwarzeneggerSam WorthingtonTerrence HowardMembers of an elite DEA task force find themselves being taken down one by one after they rob a drug cartel safe house. If you are a huge Arnie fan then check out Sabotage, but if you loved his classic films before this film's existence then no one's gonna get mad.
- DirectorPatrick HughesStarsSylvester StalloneJason StathamJet LiBarney augments his team with new blood for a personal battle: to take down Conrad Stonebanks, the Expendables co-founder and notorious arms trader who is hell bent on wiping out Barney and every single one of his associates.Sure, The Expendables 3 did have great moments but I still like their previous one better.
But what I really hate is that Willis got replaced with Ford. - DirectorJaume Collet-SerraStarsLiam NeesonJulianne MooreScoot McNairyAn air marshal springs into action during a transatlantic flight after receiving a series of text messages demanding $150 million into an off-shore account, or someone will die every 20 minutes. An epic plane film, just not a perfect Neeson film.
Still... I had fun with Non-Stop. - DirectorLevan GabriadzeStarsHeather SossamanMatthew BohrerCourtney HalversonA group of online chatroom friends find themselves haunted by a mysterious, supernatural force using the account of their dead friend. If Audiences dislike horror films like Unfriended, then why did the classic films get high scores?
- DirectorBrett RatnerStarsDwayne JohnsonJohn HurtIan McShaneHaving endured his legendary twelve labors, Hercules, the Greek demigod, has his life as a sword-for-hire tested when the King of Thrace and his daughter seek his aid in defeating a tyrannical warlord.I still remember on how I loved the original "Hercules" film in 1997 as a kid, as if for now this was a lot to fun but could have been more but still... nothing can bore us audiences more than "The Legend of Hercules".
- DirectorDavid AyerStarsBrad PittShia LaBeoufLogan LermanA grizzled tank commander makes tough decisions as he and his crew fight their way across Germany in April, 1945.All about David Ayer's Conflict, and Fury is one of those films to get your brain up and working.
- DirectorMichael SpierigPeter SpierigStarsEthan HawkeSarah SnookNoah TaylorAs his last assignment, a temporal agent is tasked to travel back in time and prevent a bomb attack in New York in 1975. The hunt, however, turns out to be beyond the bounds of possibility.I was interested in watching Predestination and was okay with it, but not really that interested in watching it on DVD.
- DirectorAlex GarlandStarsAlicia VikanderDomhnall GleesonOscar IsaacA young programmer is selected to participate in a ground-breaking experiment in synthetic intelligence by evaluating the human qualities of a highly advanced humanoid A.I.I wanted to watch something that isn't a sequel, remake, next instalment in franchise, an adaptation or based of toy brands, and Ex Machina was interesting but not my favorite science fiction film.
- DirectorLasse HallströmStarsHelen MirrenOm PuriManish DayalThe Kadam family leaves India for France where they open a restaurant directly across the road from Madame Mallory's Michelin-starred eatery. Was The Hundred-Foot Journey a bad film... not at all.
I'd rather think this one is quite good with a nice story and a foreign family cooking for a European guest. - DirectorFrancis LawrenceStarsJennifer LawrenceJosh HutchersonLiam HemsworthKatniss Everdeen is in District 13 after she shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta and a nation moved by her courage.Along with the books, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 follows the last instalment of Catching Fire, which I don't think this one did quite as great but you can always have fun with this franchise.
- DirectorMatthew VaughnStarsColin FirthTaron EgertonSamuel L. JacksonA spy organisation recruits a promising street kid into the agency's training program, while a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius. The funniest action comedy of the year,
Kingsman: The Secret Service did get me quite puzzled on if I like it or not but in the end I find this to be a great time. - DirectorNeil BurgerStarsShailene WoodleyTheo JamesKate WinsletIn a world divided by factions based on virtues, Tris learns she's Divergent and won't fit in. When she discovers a plot to destroy Divergents, Tris and the mysterious Four must find out what makes Divergents dangerous before it's too late.Forget the books and go watch Divergent when you have the chance, It's better than their sequels and it's just the beginning on facing their fears.
- DirectorAntoine FuquaStarsDenzel WashingtonMarton CsokasChloë Grace MoretzA man who believes he has put his mysterious past behind him cannot stand idly by when he meets a young girl under the control of ultra-violent Russian gangsters.Oh yeah, now we got another Denzel Washington film kicking ass, The Equalizer had some stunning action and I enjoyed this more than "Non-Stop" and their other gun fighting films on this list.
- DirectorWes BallStarsDylan O'BrienKaya ScodelarioWill PoulterThomas is deposited in a community of boys after his memory is erased, soon learning they're all trapped in a maze that will require him to join forces with fellow "runners" for a shot at escape.Far better than I expected for it to be, The Maze Runner was not only a good time but was also a huge surprise once getting used to the film cuz I had seen this twice in the theatre and rented it on disc 3 weeks after the removal from cinemas.
- DirectorAnton CorbijnStarsPhilip Seymour HoffmanRachel McAdamsDaniel BrühlA Chechen Muslim illegally immigrates to Hamburg, where he gets caught in the international war on terror.Very underrated film, A Most Wanted Man has actors who had not struggled one bit and their cinematography and story were outstanding.
- DirectorJames GunnStarsChris PrattVin DieselBradley CooperA group of intergalactic criminals must pull together to stop a fanatical warrior with plans to purge the universe. So much better than I thought, Guardians of the Galaxy is a silly, goofy and terribly well done film with a story just like in the Star Wars universe... following a comic book geek protagonist, a green badass mutant, a muscular handsome young one, a Heath Ledger Joker type furry and an adorable tree giant.
- DirectorMatt ReevesStarsGary OldmanKeri RussellAndy SerkisThe fragile peace between apes and humans is threatened as mistrust and betrayal threaten to plunge both tribes into a war for dominance over the Earth. Was not what I think at all but it's 5 times better than you can Imagine, In one Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is the best prequel we got since the "Star Trek" trilogy and "X-Men: First Class" with actors who were better than the original and after you watch this film you wish they can make more.
- DirectorClint EastwoodStarsBradley CooperSienna MillerKyle GallnerNavy S.E.A.L. sniper Chris Kyle's pinpoint accuracy saves countless lives on the battlefield and turns him into a legend. Back home with his family after four tours of duty, however, Chris finds that it is the war he can't leave behind.Don't get me wrong Clint Eastwood is really good at making True Based story movies, there was one film he made I didn't truly like but American Sniper is his best one so far.
- DirectorWes AndersonStarsRalph FiennesF. Murray AbrahamMathieu AmalricA writer encounters the owner of an aging high-class hotel, who tells him of his early years serving as a lobby boy in the hotel's glorious years under an exceptional concierge.I had not seen a Wes Anderson film since "Fantastic Mr. Fox" which that one was stupid compared to this, The Grand Budapest Hotel is a whacky fun comedy with lots of laughs and more interest in the path.
- DirectorMichaël R. RoskamStarsTom HardyNoomi RapaceJames GandolfiniBob Saginowski finds himself at the center of a robbery gone awry and entwined in an investigation that digs deeply into the neighborhood's past where friends, families, and foes all work together to make a living--no matter the cost. Also another Underrated Gem with a lot going on feeling for the Tom Hary character, who he finds himself in a robbery, and diagnosed on the inside.
- DirectorJosé PadilhaStarsJoel KinnamanGary OldmanMichael KeatonIn 2028 Detroit, when Alex Murphy, a loving husband, father and good cop, is critically injured in the line of duty, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. You don't have to agree with me if you don't want to but I personally think that RoboCop is just as good or even better than the original with more explosive action, some of their CGI was kind of off but their visuals are outstanding.
- DirectorPeter JacksonStarsIan McKellenMartin FreemanRichard ArmitageBilbo Baggins and company are forced to engage in a war against an array of combatants and keep the Lonely Mountain from falling into the hands of a rising darkness. The one problem with The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is their Computer Graphics, they had gotten weaker with the Legalis character but this made a huge improvement over their last Hobbit films if you know what I mean.
- DirectorDean DeBloisStarsJay BaruchelCate BlanchettGerard ButlerWhen Hiccup and Toothless discover an ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace."How to Train Your Dragon" was an absolute animated classic, and How to Train Your Dragon 2 is nearly as great as the original, the characters are still great and the animation is somewhat perfect.
- DirectorMorten TyldumStarsBenedict CumberbatchKeira KnightleyMatthew GoodeDuring World War II, the English mathematical genius Alan Turing tries to crack the German Enigma code with help from fellow mathematicians while attempting to come to terms with his troubled private life. Not as great as I think it would be but why so serious, cuz The Imitation Game had war numbers that make it most interesting about this film and is something I can never let go of.
- DirectorMichael CuestaStarsJeremy RennerRobert PatrickJena SimsJournalist Gary Webb, California 1996, started investigating CIA's role in the 1980s in getting crack cocaine to the black part of LA to get money and weapons to the Contra insurgents in Nicaragua.Renner continues on with his amazing career as he stars in Kill the Messenger who was perfect for the Webb role.
- DirectorRussell CroweStarsRussell CroweOlga KurylenkoJai CourtneyAn Australian man travels to Turkey after the Battle of Gallipoli to try to locate his three missing sons. It's a shame I couldn't make it in theatres to watch this one because they play certain movies but The Water Diviner had a realistic feel to it making it even better than what you think of from the start, unbelievably enough one of the very Australian films highly unregretable it has a real positive meaning being both depressing and enjoyable at the same time.
- DirectorAlejandro G. IñárrituStarsMichael KeatonZach GalifianakisEdward NortonA washed-up superhero actor attempts to revive his fading career by writing, directing, and starring in a Broadway production.Awesome film, never forgettable, never gets old and is what you came to be when stage performing in real life that what makes Birdman so remarkable is that Mr. Keaton here can really act has some really cool moves and humour and this is a must watch for everyone.
- DirectorDoug LimanStarsTom CruiseEmily BluntBill PaxtonA soldier fighting aliens gets to relive the same day over and over again, the day restarting every time he dies. This was... wait for it.
10 times better than I think at the first place, tho turns out Edge of Tomorrow was an awesome film that does not rely too much on Special effects does do over the action which is what the film is suppose to be about anyways, and nearly everything about the story is most fascinating. - DirectorAnthony RussoJoe RussoStarsChris EvansSamuel L. JacksonScarlett JohanssonAs Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world, he teams up with a fellow Avenger and S.H.I.E.L.D agent, Black Widow, to battle a new threat from history: an assassin known as the Winter Soldier.Boy, the first Marvel film to be far better than the original, I loved everything about Captain America: The Winter Soldier I mean it's an awesome time to watch and you can get this at any place, anywhere.
- DirectorBryan SingerStarsPatrick StewartIan McKellenHugh JackmanThe X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants. The best "X-Men" film in "X-men" history for most people, this Days of Future Past film does go from past to present and the word Anti-Sequel gets me into a straight position on how good this film is, all the characters are likeable and the story did very well indeed.
- DirectorDan GilroyStarsJake GyllenhaalRene RussoBill PaxtonWhen Louis Bloom, a con man desperate for work, muscles into the world of L.A. crime journalism, he blurs the line between observer and participant to become the star of his own story.I enjoyed Nightcrawler more than the Marvel films to be honest, a guy filming things from inside the house to make a murder mystery is always a win for me, and Gyllenhaal is my 2nd Favorite actor... so that's saying a lot.
- DirectorChad StahelskiStarsKeanu ReevesMichael NyqvistAlfie AllenAn ex-hitman comes out of retirement to track down the gangsters who killed his dog and stole his car.Out of the other 3 films, nothing can be as good as the first John Wick... the story made perfect sense and is about Wick (or the actor who does him: Reeves) getting his revenge for after what they did, and I loved every single shot in this film and would I like to call my 2nd favorite film of 2014.
- DirectorDamien ChazelleStarsMiles TellerJ.K. SimmonsMelissa BenoistA promising young drummer enrolls at a cut-throat music conservatory where his dreams of greatness are mentored by an instructor who will stop at nothing to realize a student's potential.Any other film of the year can't beat this, a drummer boy so aggressive over a bad day can definitely be scary in real life and for sure Miles Teller is so good he can maybe win that oscar if that's possible, don't get me wrong but Whiplash is an awesome film is something I would recommend to people who loves music and film in general... and for me personally not even John Wick can beat and is my best film of the year and I mean if I can find a film better than this... I won't be able to.
