October Picks: The Movies and TV Shows You Can't Miss11 of 12
Jojo Rabbit | Opens in U.S. theaters Friday, Oct. 18
Yes, I'm on the Taika Waititi bandwagon. I've pretty much loved everything he's touched, and I've already bought into Jojo Rabbit's absurd (and slightly taboo) premise of using Adolf Hitler as an imaginary character played for comedy. As a passion project that doesn't neatly fit into his MCU-laden trajectory, it's a bit of a curiosity, and reviews have been polarized. That makes me even more excited to see what Waititi has cooked up and shows that he's not ready to play it safe yet. — James
