Olivia Mary de Havilland was born on July 1, 1916 in Tokyo, Japan to British parents, Lilian Augusta (Ruse), a former actress, and Walter Augustus de Havilland, an English professor and patent attorney. Her sister Joan, later to become famous as Joan Fontaine, was born the following year. Her surname comes from her paternal grandfather, whose family was from Guernsey in the Channel Islands. Her parents divorced when Olivia was just three years old, and she moved with her mother and sister to Saratoga, California.
After graduating from high school, where she fell prey to the acting bug, Olivia enrolled in Mills College in Oakland, where she participated in the school play "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and was spotted by Max Reinhardt. She so impressed Reinhardt that he picked her up for both his stage version and, later, the Warner Bros. film version in 1935. She again was so impressive that Warner executives signed her to a seven-year contract. No sooner had the ink dried on the contract than Olivia appeared in three more films: The Irish in Us (1935), Alibi Ike (1935), and Captain Blood (1935), this last with the man with whom her career would be most closely identified: heartthrob Errol Flynn. He and Olivia starred together in eight films during their careers. In 1939 Warner Bros. loaned her to David O. Selznick for the classic Gone with the Wind (1939). Playing sweet Melanie Hamilton, Olivia received her first nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, only to lose out to one of her co-stars in the film, Hattie McDaniel.
After GWTW, Olivia returned to Warner Bros. and continued to churn out films. In 1941 she played Emmy Brown in Hold Back the Dawn (1941), which resulted in her second Oscar nomination, this time for Best Actress. Again she lost, this time to her sister Joan for her role in Suspicion (1941). After that strong showing, Olivia now demanded better, more substantial roles than the "sweet young thing" slot into which Warners had been fitting her. The studio responded by placing her on a six-month suspension, all of the studios at the time operating under the policy that players were nothing more than property to do with as they saw fit. As if that weren't bad enough, when her contract with Warners was up, she was told that she needed to make up the time lost because of the suspension. Irate, she sued the studio, and for the length of the court battle she didn't appear in a single film. The result, however, was worth it. In a landmark decision, the court said that not only would Olivia not need to make up the time, but also that all performers would be limited to a seven-year contract that would include any suspensions handed down. This became known as the "de Havilland decision": no longer could studios treat their performers as chattel. Olivia returned to the screen in 1946 and made up for lost time by appearing in four films, one of which finally won her the Oscar that had so long eluded her: To Each His Own (1946), in which she played Josephine Norris to the delight of critics and audiences alike. Olivia was the strongest performer in Hollywood for the balance of the 1940s.
In 1948 she turned in another strong showing in The Snake Pit (1948) as Virginia Cunningham, a woman suffering a mental breakdown. The end result was another Oscar nomination for Best Actress, but she lost to Jane Wyman in Johnny Belinda (1948). As in the two previous years, she made only one film in 1949, but she again won a nomination and the Academy Award for Best Actress for The Heiress (1949). After a three-year hiatus, Olivia returned to star in My Cousin Rachel (1952). From that point on, she made few appearances on the screen but was seen on Broadway and in some television shows. Her last screen appearance was in The Fifth Musketeer (1979), and her last career appearance was in the TV movie The Woman He Loved (1988).
Her turbulent relationship with her only sibling, Joan Fontaine, was press fodder for many decades; the two were reported as having been permanently estranged since their mother's death in 1975, when Joan claimed that she had not been invited to the memorial service, which she only managed to hold off until she could arrive by threatening to go public. Joan also wrote in her memoir that her elder sister had been physically, psychologically, and emotionally abusive when they were young. And the iconic photo of Joan with her hand outstretched to congratulate Olivia backstage after the latter's first Oscar win and Olivia ignoring it because she was peeved by a comment Joan had made about Olivia's new husband, Marcus Goodrich, remained part of Hollywood lore for many years.
Nonetheless, late in life, Fontaine gave an interview in which she serenely denied any and all claims of an estrangement from her sister. When a reporter asked Joan if she and Olivia were friends, she replied, "Of course!" The reporter responded that rumors to the contrary must have been sensationalism and she replied, "Oh, right--they have to. Two nice girls liking each other isn't copy." Asked if she and Olivia were in communication and spoke to each other, Joan replied "Absolutely." When asked if there ever had been a time when the two did not get along to the point where they wouldn't speak with one another, Joan replied, again, "Never. Never. There is not a word of truth about that." When asked why people believe it, she replied "Oh, I have no idea. It's just something to say ... Oh, it's terrible." When asked if she had seen Olivia over the years, she replied, "I've seen her in Paris. And she came to my apartment in New York often." The reporter stated that all this was a nice thing to hear. Joan then stated, "Let me just say, Olivia and I have never had a quarrel. We have never had any dissatisfaction. We have never had hard words. And all this is press." Joan died in 2013.
During the hoopla surrounding the 50th anniversary of GWTW in 1989, Olivia graciously declined requests for all interviews as the last of the four main stars. She enjoyed a quiet retirement in Paris, France, where she resided for many decades, and where she died on 26 July, 2020, at the age of 104.
As well as being the last surviving major cast member of some of cinema's most beloved pre-war and wartime film classics (including The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) and Gone with the Wind (1939)), and one of the longest-lived major stars in film history, Olivia de Havilland was unquestionably the last surviving iconic figure from the peak of Hollywood's golden era during the late 1930s, and her passing truly marked the end of an era.- Actress

Kelli Williams was born in California on June 8, 1970. Though she had appeared in commercials since she was a baby, she was discovered by her agent at her high school play ("Romeo and Juliet"), in which she starred as Juliet opposite General Hospital (1963)'s Steve Burton. In the early 1990s, she appeared with Tony Danza and George C. Scott in the stage production "Wrong Turn at Lungfish". There Goes My Baby (1994) was her feature film debut, co-starring with ER (1994) doc Noah Wyle, Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend's Wedding (1997) and Copycat (1995)) and Ricky Schroder (NYPD Blue (1993)). She has also done a long list of TV movies, as well as guest appearances before and during her run as Lindsay Dole Donnell on ABC's The Practice (1997). In the summer of 2003, her critically acclaimed seven year stint on the show ended, and she has since signed for guest spots on different series, and filmed a made-for-TV movie, A Boyfriend for Christmas (2004) opposite her real-life mother Shannon Wilcox and former TV-father-in-law Charles Durning.- Lovely, buxom, and vivacious blonde bombshell Louisa Moritz was born as Luisa Cira Castro Netto on September 25, 1936 in Havana, Cuba. Many members of Louisa's family which include her father Luis, sister Aurora, and her older brother Rafael all worked in the law profession. Moritz left Cuba and moved to New York City during the upheaval of the 1950s. Louisa was inspired to change her last name from Castro to Moritz after seeing the St. Moritz Hotel in New York City. She arrived in NYC in July 1960, aged 23.
She began her acting career in TV commercials in the late 1960s. She made her debut in a TV commercial for Ultra-Ban spray deodorant and won both a Clio Award and an Andy Award for her work as a student driver in a TV commercial for American Motors. Louisa made her film debut in the lead role of young prostitute Carmela in The Man from O.R.G.Y. (1970). Perhaps best known to general audiences as the hooker Rose in the Oscar-winning classic One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), her most memorable roles included Sylvester Stallone's airhead navigator Myra in the cult science fiction black comedy Death Race 2000 (1975), cheery prostitute Flora in the delightful Sixpack Annie (1975), Officer Gloria Whitey in Up in Smoke (1978), hilarious as the aggressively lascivious Carmela in the uproariously raunchy teen comedy hoot The Last American Virgin (1982), and ditsy kleptomaniac Bubbles in the terrifically trashy babes-behind-bars treat Chained Heat (1983). Among the television programs Moritz appeared on are The Leslie Uggams Show (1969), The Joe Namath Show (1969), Love, American Style (1969), Ironside (1967), Happy Days (1974), M*A*S*H (1972), Chico and the Man (1974), The Rockford Files (1974), The Incredible Hulk (1978) and The Associates (1979).
Outside of acting, Moritz sold real estate, sung a song she specifically wrote about host Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show," and bought a hotel in Beverly Hills which she renamed the Beverly Hills St. Moritz. Although often cast as the generic dumb blonde in many films and TV shows (a part which she always played with great spirit and infectiously sweet good humor), Moritz in real life was the total radical opposite of this particular persona: She not only made the Deans List while studying for her law degree at the University of West Los Angeles, but won the American Jurisprudence Bancroft Whitney Prize for Contracts as well. She went on to become a lawyer in southern California, but was eventually disbarred for failing to provide certain quarterly reports. Louisa Moritz died at age 82 from cardiovascular disease on January 4, 2019 in Los Angeles, California. - Actress

Leslie Easterbrook is an American actress from Nebraska. She has had a decades-long career, but she is mostly remembered for the role of the tough training instructor Debbie Callahan in the "Police Academy" movie series (1984-1994). She appeared in six of the series' seven films, and Callahan was considered among the series' most memorable characters. Easterbrook has also appeared in several horror films.
Easterbrook was born on July 29, 1948. At the age of 9 months, she was adopted by the Easterbrook family. Her adoptive father Carl Easterbrook worked as a music professor. Her adoptive mother Helen worked as an English teacher at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, a public university located at the small city of Kearney, Nebraska. The city was incorporated in 1873, and named after the nearby historic outpost Fort Kearny.
Easterbrook was primarily raised in the small village of Arcadia, Nebraska. In 1950, Arcadia had a population of 574 people. Easterbrook received her secondary education at Kearney High School, a public high school located in Kearney. She received her tertiary education at Stephens College, a private women's college located in Columbia, Missouri. Stephens had a distinguished Drama Department, which had initially won its fame under the leadership of the actress Maude Adams (1872-1953).
Easterbrook decided to follow an acting career, but she was fairly obscure during the 1970s. She gained her first major television role in 1980, when cast in the role of aspiring actress Rhonda Lee in the sitcom Laverne & Shirley (1976). She was a regular in the sixth, seventh, and eighth seasons of the sitcom. Rhonda was depicted as a vain woman, who spoke of herself in the third person. She liked to brag about her successful love life to her neighbors Laverne DeFazio (Penny Marshall) and Shirley Feeney (Cindy Williams).
Easterbrook was cast in her first major film role as Debbie Callahan in the police comedy Police Academy (1984). Callahan was depicted as a tough and strict training instructor at the Metropolitan Police Academy, who is both physically and sexually aggressive. According to a later interview, Easterbrook had to convince the film's producer and director that she could play an intimidating character. This was a first in her career, but she performed well. The film's subplot was that Callahan maintained a sexual relationship with cadet George Martin (Andrew Rubin), where she dominated her partner.
Police Academy (1984) was a box office hit, earning about 150 million dollars at the worldwide box office. The film had six sequels. Easterbrook did not appear in the second film, but appeared in all the rest. Callahan was a major character in the movie series. A major subplot in the third and fourth films was that Callahan was involved in an interracial relationship with the Japanese cadet Tomoko Nogata (Brian Tochi). The movie series ended in 1994.
In 1985, Easterbrook had a supporting role in the adventure comedy film Private Resort (1985). The film deals with two teenagers at a posh resort in Miami, Florida, who have to stop an experienced jewel thief. The film was a box office flop, but it is remembered for depicting novice actors Johnny Depp and Rob Morrow in starring roles. In 1986, Easterbrook joined the cast of the long-running soap opera Ryan's Hope (1975), playing the regular character Devlin Kowalski. The series depicted life in the neighborhood of Washington Heights, Manhattan. New characters were frequently added to the cast, as older ones were written out. Easterbrook remained a series regular until 1987, and the series was canceled two years later.
In 1992, Easterbrook voiced the sentient android Randa Duane in a two-part episode of Batman: The Animated Series (1992). Randa was depicted as the ultimate creation of the supercomputer H.A.R.D.A.C., and its main agent in a scheme to replace humans with lookalike androids. Randa's appearance was patterned after real-life actress Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962). In 1995, Easterbrook played a character in the interactive film Mr. Payback: An Interactive Movie (1995). The film depicts the vigilante android Mr. Payback (Billy Warlock) punishing or humiliating criminals in sadistic ways. The audience could vote for various directions the story would take.
In 1997, Easterbrook voiced the Kryptonian criminal Mala in a two-part episode of Superman: The Animated Series (1996). Mala was depicted as a female soldier who once participated in a failed coup d'état, and was sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment in the Phantom Zone. The character Mala was originally created for this series, but was loosely based on the comic book villain Faora and the film villain Ursa. Both original characters were depicted as prominent Kryptonian enemies of Superman. Also in 1997, Easterbrook guest-starred as Debbie Callahan in the sitcom Police Academy: The Series (1997). The series was a spin-off of the movie series, featuring mostly new characters. In her guest appearance, Callahan was depicted as a retired police officer. She had began a new career as an assistant district attorney.
Easterbrook gained her next prominent role when cast as Mother Firefly in the horror film The Devil's Rejects (2005). Her character was depicted as the matriarch of a family of psychopaths who are hunted down by authorities. The film was a sequel of the movie House of 1000 Corpses (2003), where Mother Firefly was played by Karen Black. The film earned about 19.5 million dollars at the box office. Critics praised the film for fleshing out the recurring characters, providing them with "personalities, histories and motives".
Easterbrook next played the security guard Patty Frost in the horror film Halloween (2007), a remake of the 1978 horror film of the same name. In the remake, Frost is one of several security guards charged with transporting mental patient Michael Myers (played by Tyler Mane). The film earned about 80.5 million dollars at the worldwide box office, and revived the "Halloween" movie franchise.
Easterbrook played the eccentric innkeeper Betty in the supernatural horror film House (2008). The film only received a limited release, and earned about 575,000 dollars at the domestic box office. Easterbrook played the leading role of the mentally unstable killer Maggie in the horror film The Afflicted (2011). The film was loosely based on the life of serial killer Theresa Knorr (1946-), who had tortured and killed two of her own children. Easterbrook played wealthy benefactor Stella Fawnskin in the horror film Sorority Party Massacre (2012). In the film, Fawnskin organizes an annual contest for sorority girls. In the contest's final year, both Fawnskin and her contestants are targeted for murder.
Easterbrook had a more sympathetic role in the ghost-themed film Compound Fracture (2014). She played Annabelle Wolffsen, a wife who is charged with taking care of her aging husband, who suffers from dementia. As of 2021, she has never retired from acting, though she has had few prominent roles in recent years. She is fondly remembered by generations of comedy and horror fans. Named the "next big thing" and one of the "top 35 Latinos under 35," by The Hollywood Reporter, Gina Rodriguez's profile has been rising steadily since her breakout performance as the titular character in FILLY BROWN during the Sundance Film Festival in 2012.
Gina Rodriguez was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Puerto Rican parents Magali and Genaro Rodriguez, a boxing referee. She started performing at age seven with the salsa dance company Fantasia Juvenil. She went on to work with other companies including Los Soneros Del Swing, performing at several Salsa Congress' in Chicago, California, New York and Puerto Rico. At sixteen, Gina was one of thirteen teens to be accepted into Columbia University NY- Theatrical Collaboration taught by Richard Niles. She wrote, directed and performed original work with twelve other kids from around the world. She fell in love with New York and NYU called her name-she was accepted into the Tisch School of the Arts, and the calling was clear, theatre was it. Gina had four years of intense theatre training at both the Atlantic Theatre Company and Experimental Theatre Wing, working with David Mamet and William H. Macy, the brilliant guidance of Rosemary Quinn and other wonderful professors. Directly after graduation, Gina booked her first lead role in the feature film Tiny Dancer. After, Gina originated the role of Frida Kahlo in the world premiere of "Casa Blue: The Last Moments in the Life of Frida Kahlo," at the American Stage Theatre. Heather (an only child) was born in Waukegan, Illinois, USA to a single mother (Laura) 6 weeks before her 19th birthday. Shortly after, her mother moved back to Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA where she began raising Heather. Heather was born with a "trigger thumb" on her right hand and had to have surgery to correct it when she was one year old. Because of this surgery, Heather is left-handed when righting or eating, however, she is right-hand dominant when playing instruments or sports. At the age of 3, Heather discovered she could sing the music on the albums that were playing. Jethro Tull's "Aqualung" was the first album she learned all the lyrics to. It was at this time she decided she wanted to grow up to sing, dance and act. On her 5th birthday, Heather and her mother relocated to Green Bay, Wisconsin to be near Heather's maternal grandparents. Heather attended Helen Keller Elementary School until the 6th grade when they relocated to a country/suburb area of Suamico and Howard where she attended Bay View Middle School. Since Heather was a transfer from a school which had a well-known program for developmentally challenged children and the fact that she was extremely shy around strangers, Bay View Middle School officials assumed Heather was mentally slow and placed her in classes with their developmentally challenged students. When Heather turned in a 10-page research paper for her science class (a subject favorite) and her English teacher saw that she was already writing in cursive (something the slower classmates had not learned yet), the school officials had realized their mistake. However, because the school year was almost over they waited until the 7th grade to make the corrections. Mid-way through the 7th grade and again in the 8th grade, Heather was advanced in her English classes. But all was not wasted, since this is where Heather was introduced to music theory which proved to be instrumental for her future. In the 7th grade, Heather's Choir Director noticed her strong singing abilities and approached her to perform a solo for the schools spring concert, but because Heather was so shy and lacked confidence, she declined. Then, at the beginning of the 8th grade, auditions were held for the Swing Choir of which Heather became a member. The song the girls auditioned with was "Home" from the musical "The Wiz". The Choir Director was surprised to hear the normally shy and submissive Heather protest when her audition was cut off just before the climactic high notes of the song. When he obliged her, he was pleasantly surprised - yet again - to hear her angelic soprano voice ring out the notes with pitch precision. That spring, Heather was approached to enter the district's vocal Solo/Ensemble competition with a Class B song, which was considered an honor since first-timers were usually entered in the Class C category (such as was the case for her Trio entry). Her solo and trio were both awarded 1st (gold) medals. This success, coupled with her new knowledge of music theory inspired Heather to write her first three songs on homemade manuscript paper . . . without the use of a keyboard. Then she would bring the songs in to her Choir Director to play them for her so she could hear what they sounded like. This skill impressed her Choir Director so much that he spoke to her mother at the Parent-Teacher Conference and expressed Heather's great talent for writing music. The next Christmas, Heather was given a 64-key Casio keyboard from her mother to help her with songwriting. This was a gift Heather kept until she was in her mid-20s. Then 9th grade arrived and it was time for Bay Port High School. It was in her English class with Julie Robinson that her gift to read with emotion was discovered. Mrs. Robinson approached Heather to enter the district Forensics competition as a Solo-Actor. She was given a choice of two monologues, of which she chose the Glass Menagerie. Heather was clueless as to exactly what it was that she was being asked to do and did not rehearse adequately so she had to withdraw from the program. The next year, in 10th grade, she tried again but was still very shy about speaking in front of people. The end result was Heather having an anxiety attack and withdrawing the day of the competition. Her Junior and Senior years, Heather had much more confidence and success in completing her monologues at the Forensics competitions. Meanwhile, Heather was cleaning up on the vocal Solo/Ensemble awards each year earning 1sts on every solo, duet, trio, quartet, madrigal and vocal jazz ensemble. Her Sophmore year, Heather advanced to Class A material which qualifies you for the State competition if you are awarded a *1st. Heather's only year of achieving a solo *1st was her Junior year performance of "The Black Swan" from the opera "The Medium". Ironically, she was struck with a severe case of bronchitis for the district competition and couldn't hear a note she sang, yet she still was able to sing her way to the State level and earned another 1st (gold) medal for that performance. During the summer break before her Junior year, Heather attended Vocal Jazz camp and Choir camp at UW-Green Bay. She saw a notice regarding auditions for college scholarships to attend the university in the fall of 1989. She auditioned for each award and won both scholarships. Because of these awards to major in Music Performance, she took up playing the flute and joined the band and Marching Band for her Senior year. She was also entered the District Solo/Ensemble competition for flute and won awards for her Solo, Trio and Woodwind Ensemble and went on the band trip for an international contest in Toronto, Canada. During her high school years, Heather was also a crew member for high school productions of "Grease" and "A Funny Thing Happened on My Way to the Forum". She was a singer for "The Wiz" and cast as "Bessie" to act, sing and dance in "South Pacific" as was Dave Quimby, who pursued a professional acting career. When the lead for "Nellie" broke her leg during a softball game and the part went to a sophomore, Heather and the other Senior classmates were upset with the director's decision initially. However, Heather would've only had a month to learn the script and was happy to stay with the role of "Bessie". Heather's Senior year was also her attempts at the One-Act Play competition for which she was cast as the "Princess" for "The Happy Scarecrow". It was also during this time that Heather discovered her propensity for creative writing skills. She already knew she had a knack for writing songs. However, in her Junior year literature class, the class was given the assignment of writing a parody of whatever real item they wanted and to include their handwritten rough draft with their typed final draft. Since Heather's rough draft had only one minor spelling error, her teacher assumed she had plagiarized a professionally written parody. When he realized this was Heather's original work, he suggested she submit the parody to a number of magazines for publishing. She never did, but a few months later Weird Al Yankovic came out with a parody almost identical to that which SHE had written. The parody was of Michael Jackson's "Bad" and was called "Fat". She took her teacher's compliment to heart and signed up for the Creative Writing class her Senior year. Green Bay Community Theater: to quench her thirst for more acting experience, Heather was in the local production of "Equus" her Junior year in the roll or "Jill". Her Senior year, she was also cast as "Sophie Lawton / Triggs" in "Murder in Play". Her Freshman year at UWGB (1989-1990), she was a background singer and dancer as well as part of the crew for "Jesus Christ Superstar". Her Sophmore year she was the Assistant Stage Manager for "Wanted: Dead, Alive . . . or Maimed". Meanwhile, she auditioned for a number of plays at the Green Bay Community Theater but because she could 'cry on cue', became frustrated for being type-cast for roles that required this ability. Exasperated, Heather left the world of acting and, shortly after, changed from a double major in Music and Theater Performance to a double major in Psychology and Human Development with a minor in Applied Music. Even though Heather stopped pursuing her childhood dreams of acting and dancing, she still had the joy of music in her home (and heart) by playing flute, singing and writing new songs when the occasional music muse moved her. In the meantime, she continued on her quest for knowledge and earned an M.S. and Ph.D. in Counseling. In Fall of 2002, Heather relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, USA where she attended school for a certificate in Massage Therapy and changed careers yet again. Now she has her own massage business for spiritual healing, which caters to A-list celebrities and other high-profile clients. She is also employed as a Massage Therapist on The Strip and spends her days off writing screenplays for films to help expand the collective consciousness of the world. Her latest works include a musical that is a comical love story called "Déjà Duet", which is based closely on events expected to happen in her love life. All songs included were composed by Heather as well. The other screenplay "Massage U." is a comical autobiography that addresses her path of spiritual enlightenment while on her path to becoming a Massage Therapist. Both were started and finished in 2008 with the hopes of having them in theaters around the nation by late 2009 to early 2010.- Actress
