Arrow Season 7 ratings
A list of my ratings for Arrow season 7!
Season 7 the biggest turnaround in my brain. I went from loving the first half when it aired, hating the second half to genuinely enjoying both halves when it was all said and done.
There's definite flaws, they take too long to introduce the Ninth Circle and then they bow out without any real fanfare, but the Ninth Circle was never meant to be the main villain - that was Emiko and she was handled really well to me.
The first half is still entirely better than the second half, but I do think that the second half, once it gets fully underway around episode 14 (moreso 17, but I'll be nice and say 14) the season is truly enjoyable again.
The finale does have a hard time focusing on whether it wants to wrap up the season well or the series well, but it finds a fine line of both being satisfying. The season is so thematically rich and I had a great time watching it again.
8/10 - Solid!

8.4/10. - DirectorLaura BelseyStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsFelicity is determined to find Diaz by any means necessary when Diggle tries to keep her on the outs and Oliver is forced to ally with an old enemy.A fun enough follow up to the premiere that brings in the Longbow Hunters that are enjoyable to watch as well as continuing Oliver's prison arc well!
7/10. - DirectorGordon VerheulStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsStill in prison, Oliver faces his biggest challenge yet. Meanwhile, Felicity gets an intriguing offer, and Diggle asks Curtis to go undercover for ARGUS.Season 7 is in top form as "Crossing Lines" is an insanely fun an exciting episode that continues to show the show is in top form.
9/10. - DirectorBen Hernandez BrayStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsOliver and Felicity each make drastic moves to find Diaz; the new Green Arrow swoops in when arsonists target Rene's community center; Dinah faces pressure from the mayor to capture the vigilante. An interesting and awesome episode of Arrow that focuses on the psyche of Oliver Queen and continues to build mystery and intrigue inside Slabside.
9/10. - DirectorMark BuntingStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsFelicity learns something new about Oliver that shocks her. Meanwhile, Diggle asks Curtis to go undercover for ARGUS. Dinah works with an unlikely ally.Talia Al Ghul returns in "The Demon", an extremely fun episode that seemingly moves the plot to not only catch Diaz, but get Oliver released from prison forward.
8.7/10. - DirectorKristin WindellStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsSlabside becomes even more dangerous after a guard is murdered and everyone is a suspect. Felicity enlists help from a surprising source in her pursuit of Diaz, and Laurel flexes her muscles as the District Attorney.A slower and less interesting episode, but still a fun one that moves us towards a conclusion for the already awesome prison arc.
7.4/10. - DirectorJames BamfordStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsOliver makes a choice that will affect his entire life, as well as the lives of everyone he cares about. An explosive and amazing finale for Season 7's opening arc and a testament to how much the show has improved after the meandering Season 6!
9/10. - DirectorAlexandra La RocheStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsFelicity stands by her recent decisions regarding her family. Meanwhile, Diggle and Lyla continue to look into the Dante painting that Curtis found.Arrow kicks off its new post-prison status quo with a fun, but flawed episode that sets up a bit too much but is still a nice time.
8/10. - DirectorJames BamfordStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsStill trapped in each other's bodies, Oliver and Barry head to Gotham City with Supergirl to find out why their reality changed and cross paths with the mysterious Kate Kane.A very fun follow up to the first part and an awesome second part to the crossover as a whole! Batwoman was super fun.
9/10. - DirectorAndi ArmaganianStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsOliver wants to get back to work and focus on his marriage but gets sidetracked by offering to track down the new Arrow; Diggle and Lyla must answer to ARGUS about Diaz.Wait, when did Arrow get boring again? It's not an awful episode, but it genuinely does feel like the show has lost all of the good will it gained back in its first half. Emiko is a fine enough character, but she just doesn't feel too interesting.
Also, fuck Diaz.
5/10. - DirectorDavid RamseyStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsThe past comes back to haunt both Oliver and Laurel. Curtis is upset when he discovers that Diggle and Lyla have restarted The Ghost Initiative with Diaz, China White, Kane Wolfman and Carrie Cutter. Why is Arrow like this? I think this is better than episode 10, but not by much. When I said I wanted more filler and one off episodes of Arrow, I didn't mean it like this.
5.7/10. - DirectorGlen WinterStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsAs a camera crew follows Oliver and team around to talk about their past as vigilantes and what the Green Arrow means to Star City, Oliver must also deal with William's return from boarding school as well as a new threat to the city.A pretty fun 150th episode of Arrow! I enjoy the documentary style, I think the action scenes told through that style are dope too and the villain is cool. When it focuses on the season long plot, it's a bit worse, but overall good time!
8/10. - DirectorGregory SmithStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsOliver and Felicity are disappointed after they learn that William is hiding something from them. Wanting to focus on his family, Oliver steps back from his Green Arrow duties and let's the team take over tracking down a serial killer. However, when the team becomes targets for the killer, things take a bloody turn. The custody battle plotline is trash, but the stuff with Stanley is pretty fun and it has a really nice horror movie vibe that I really fuck with. Overall, solid enough.
7/10. - DirectorMarcus StokesStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsAfter months of covertly pursuing Dante, Diggle and Lyla finally have a solid lead on the elusive terrorist, so they deploy the ARGUS Ghost Initiative to apprehend him. Meanwhile, Oliver tries to bond with Emiko.A pretty enjoyable episode! They finally do something with the Ghost Initiative, Oliver and Emiko are fun, I like Felicity here and Dante's entrance is great.
Also Diaz finally dies.
8/10. - DirectorRuba NaddaStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsTeam Arrow attempts to work with the Star City Police Department but much to Oliver's frustration, things don't go as planned. Meanwhile, Dinah gets some life-changing news.A fun episode that isn't as good as I remember, but still entertaining. I think it wastes a bit of time by not having them already on a Task Force, but ending it that way works.
7.4/10. - DirectorJames BamfordStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsMia and William go on a dangerous mission; Dinah, Roy and Zoe deliver some devastating news; flash forwards share highlights from Mia's childhood with Felicity. It's fine. There's some good action scenes and the future Star City plot isn't too boring. I just don't care too much and Mia is really annoying.
6/10. - DirectorPatia ProutyStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsLaurel learns about some damaging information that affects Emiko. Always looking to protect his sister, Oliver invites Laurel to help investigate, which makes Felicity happy as her friend is now working with the team. However, when things go awry, Felicity is forced to make a choice between the team and Laurel. This episode is pretty awesome. Emiko is really interesting, I love the stuff with Oliver and Diggle relating on this and the Ninth Circle is cool!
8.4/10. - DirectorKristin WindellStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsAfter being accused of murder and having her criminal past exposed, Laurel goes full Black Siren and teams up with an old criminal acquaintance, Shadow Thief, to go on a crime spree around Star City. While Dinah aims to bring Laurel in, Felicity refuses to give up on her friend and tries everything to get through to her, even summoning Sara Lance for help. However, Laurel rebuffs all her efforts, forcing the former friends to face off against each other.laurel stinky. the stuff with Oliver and Diggle is cool, though and I think the flash forward stuff gets better.
3.7/10. - DirectorAvi YouabianStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsAfter the Ninth Circle delivers a major setback for Team Arrow, Diggle reluctantly reaches out to a Four-Star General of the Defense Intelligence Agency for help, despite unresolved tension from their past. Meanwhile, Oliver discovers a piece of information that he believes will turn Emiko against the Ninth Circle. Alena returns with an interesting proposal for Felicity.A pretty fun episode of Arrow with some cool stuff with Diggle. I enjoy the Ninth Circle stuff some more. Episode does feel a bit bloated at times, though.
7.4/10. - DirectorTara MieleStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsWhen they learn of an upcoming attack on the city, Team Arrow calls Roy Harper to help them stop the Ninth Circle; things do go awry and there is massive collateral damage; Dinah investigates what happened.Probably the best episode of the season. It's such a creative episode and I love the way they handle everything and the reveal about Roy is fantastic.
9.4/10. - DirectorGordon VerheulStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsOliver finds himself in a precarious position; S.C.P.D. shows up with a warrant for Felicity.A really awesome episode that features a strong return for Tommy, even as a hallucination. Some great thematic parallels too!
8.4/10. - DirectorJames BamfordStarsStephen AmellDavid RamseyEmily Bett RickardsThe battle between Oliver and Emiko comes to a boiling point which brings back some familiar faces and leaves others in dire jeopardy.A strong finale! It has some major issues with wrapping up the Ninth Circle, but Emiko is wrapped up nicely and when the show is set around wrapping up Felicity and the show as a whole, it's really good!
8/10.
