The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf | Premieres on Netflix on Monday, Aug. 23
Plot: Escaping from poverty to become a witcher, Vesemir slays monsters for coin and glory, but when a new menace rises, he must face the demons of his past.
Our Take: 2021 has been a great year for "Witcher" fans: July kicked off the inaugural WitcherCon; game company CD Projekt Red announced a next-gen console update and DLC for "The Witcher 3," Netflix announced a Dec. 17 premiere date for "The Witcher," and to top it off, Geralt’s mentor Vesemir, is getting an anime-style origin story in the upcoming The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. We might still have five months until Season 2 of "The Witcher," but we’ll have a lot of great ways to kill time until then. — Vanessa
