- DirectorRobert ClampettStarsIvie AndersonMel BlancRuby DandridgeSo White flees from the wicked Queenie, wins over the thugs from Murder Inc. and meets her overrated Prince Chawmin'.So many classic cartoons end up with criminally low IMDb scores, and have been pulled from TV and re-release, because they step on the toes of modern PC culture. Ironic, seeing as shorts like this, and 'I'll be Glad When You're Dead You Rascal', or the Fleischer shorts featuring Cab Calloway, despite their use of racial stereotypes which may rankle some (overwhelmingly white, middle-class) people, weren't deriding black culture- They were TRIBUTES to black culture, using black jazz musicians in an era when black characters, black music and black culture, were rarely given centre-stage, the way they were here. Certainly not the first time that well-intended white liberals have inadvertantly tried to erase aspects of black culture, in the name of "it's our duty to protect the poor black people, because WE know best...".

- DirectorDave FleischerWillard BowskyStarsBud CollyerJoan AlexanderJackson BeckSuperman versus a thawed-out Tyrannosaurus.Even by modern standards, the animation in Fleischer's 'Superman' series is absolutely beautiful. Apparently this series was the most expensive to produce animation, per-minute, up til the digital era. And it shows.

- DirectorDavid HandStarsPinto ColvigClarence NashPurv PullenMickey has been reading Lewis Carroll's "Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There", and falls asleep. He finds himself on the other side of the mirror, where the furniture is alive. He eats a walnut, which makes him briefly larger, then small. He dances around a lot, ultimately doing a major number with a deck of cards. He dances with the queen, making the king jealous. He comes after Mickey with swords, and Mickey defends himself with a sewing needle. Mickey gets the upper hand, and the king calls for reinforcements. Mickey finds himself chased by several decks, which throw their spots at him. He turns on a fan and blows them away, back through the mirror, where his alarm is ringing.
- DirectorDave FleischerSeymour KneitelStarsWilliam CostelloWilliam PennellBonnie PoePopeye begins his movie career by singing his theme song, demonstrating his strength at a carnival, dancing the hula with Betty Boop, pummeling Bluto, eating his spinach, and saving Olive Oyl from certain doom on the railroad tracks.
- DirectorDave FleischerSeymour KneitelStarsCharles CarverWilliam CostelloWilliam PennellPierre Bluto, running a logging camp, has thrown Olive into the river because he didn't like her spinach. Popeye rescues her and proceeds to beat Bluto in a lumberjack contest.Popeye is such an under-rated character. And the gags, the use of music and rhythm, and the distinct style of the series, all show why Fleischer was THE greatest pre-ww2 animation house. For shorts, at the very least.
- DirectorTex AveryStarsBill ThompsonFrank GrahamThe Wolf escapes from prison but is hounded by the police dog named Droopy. Wherever The Wolf goes, the little fellow is there, too.
- DirectorDave FleischerWillard BowskyStarsCab Calloway and His Cotton Club OrchestraCab CallowayBilly MurrayBetty Boop and Bimbo run away from home, but that night they are scared by a chorus of ghosts singing the title song.
- DirectorRudolf IsingStarsMarcellite GarnerThe King's MenJohnny MurrayCop Foxy is trying to enforce the law in town, but dangerous drivers and gangsters who also kidnap his sweetheart are making this difficult.WB's off-brand Mickey Mouse rip-off is way funnier than 90% of broom-up-their-butt Disney's Mickey shorts...
- DirectorDave FleischerMyron WaldmanStarsBonnie PoeWilliam CostelloWilliam PennellPopeye wants to join a club of fighters. But can he take their grueling initiation test... and can the club take his rough-housing?
- DirectorChuck JonesStarsMel BlancIn an African jungle strange enough to have a roaring butterfly, Inki the boy hunter, a lion with false teeth and a magical minah bird match wits.Another WB classic, that's been censored out of rotation, because of modern PC sensibilities. With 'Coal Black', I can at least see WHY it got pulled; 'CB' undoubtedly uses edgy, over-the-top 'urban' stereotypes for a few characters. But 'Inki' is so tame and inoffensive- I can only assume it got pulled, because of the main character being a cutesified African kid, with a bone thru his hair? Sure, it's inaccurate stereotype (but do rednecks really have giant, floor-length moustaches, and shoot their pistols in the air when excited? Is Yosamite Sam an "offensive, inaccurate, ethnic stereotype?" Boris and Natasha?), but it's such an innocent, malice-free portrayal, I really struggle to see where you could find offense.
- DirectorJoseph BarberaWilliam HannaStarsSara BernerBilly BletcherWilliam HannaWhen Jerry runs into a dog pound, Tom takes the head of a dog statue and wears it in order to not get caught and try to catch him.
- DirectorWalt DisneyOswald the Rabbit is the conductor on a runaway trolley.very crude- Kinda reminds me of old NewGrounds Flash animations from the 00s. But it's funny, and a real step up from earlier, 10fps silent cartoons like early Felix, which were like a mid-point between funny-book panels, and actual cartoons. One of the first eg's of someone seeing animation as it's own thing, with it's own unique properties and possibilities, rather than just an extension of 'funny-pages' newspaper comics.
- DirectorLes ClarkJoshua MeadorWolfgang ReithermanStarsJane FowlerPaul FreesClarence NashDonald's goes on an adventure in which it is explained how mathematics can be useful in real life. Through this journey it is shown how numbers are more than graphs and charts, they are geometry, music and magical living things.
- DirectorChuck JonesStarsBea BenaderetBilly BletcherStan FrebergIt's Father's Day, and Junyer and Ma have a bunch of big surprises in store for good ol' Pa, including a pipe filled with gunpowder. To top it off, there's a gala Father's Day pageant, and Pa sits cringing through Junyer's recitation and aghast at Ma's tap-dancing rendition of "I'm Just Wild About Father."
