Former President Barack Obama slammed Donald Trump for a lack of “seriousness.”
Obama joined Joe Biden and Bill Clinton during an episode of the Smartless podcast to criticize Trump’s behavior.
Actor Jason Bateman, one of the podcast’s hosts, asked Obama if he was surprised “how quickly that protection and passion for democracy was diluted” and “how primed the country was to just sort of dissolve and – and get lazy with it and let it go.”
“You know, I will say – and Bill saw this begin to happen during his presidency – it then accelerated during my presidency – I have been surprised that there haven’t been guard rails inside the Republican Party,” Obama replied.
“Trump didn’t surprise me, no,” he added. “You watch Trump’s campaign, you watch his career. If you know anybody who’s a—I mean, he comes from New York, there’s nobody in...

It is the spring of “Baby Reindeer.” Netflix’s addictive limited series about a struggling comedian (Richard Gadd) working at a bar who makes the biggest mistake of his life when he gives a lonely woman (Jessica Gunning) a cup of tea on the house is the most watched series currently on the streamer and viewership is growing. And the fact that it’s based on a true story, makes “Baby Reindeer” even more creep and chilling. It’s a must-see voyeur thriller.
The same was true in the fall of 1987 with Adrian Lyne’s “Fatal Attraction.” Audiences flocked to the hard R-rated thriller which starred a wild-haired Glenn Close as an editor with a publishing company who has one-night stand with a happily married attorney (Michael Douglas) whose wife and daughter are out of town. Though it’s “understood” that it’s just a fling, Close’s Alex just won’t let go.

Julia Garner has joined Josh Brolin on Weapons, the new film from the director of Barbarian, Zach Cregger.
Julia Garner has been announced as the leading name in the ensemble for Zach Cregger’s soon-to-shoot horror project, Weapons.
We first learned about the film around a year ago when it became the subject of a heated bidding war. Cregger was coming of the back of 2022’s Barbarian, one of the buzziest horror films of that year. Barbarian didn’t just announce an exciting new voice in the horror genre, it also performed commercially earning $45m worldwide, amounting to around ten times its production budget.
With horror being seen as one of the only remaining genres to reliably pull audiences into cinemas, the success of Cregger’s film saw several studios keen to secure his future services. New Line CInema duly won out and around a year ago, the filmmaker’s next feature was announced.

Sony Pictures Television and TriStar Pictures have made a deal with Hasbro Entertainment for the film and TV rights for Clue, which could mean that we could get a new movie based on the beloved board game.
“Sony is the perfect partner to adapt a property as culturally impactful and mystery-defining as ‘Clue,’” said Hasbro Heads of Film and TV Zev Foreman and Gabriel Marano. “Nicole Brown, Katherine Pope, and their teams are tremendous creative collaborators and ideal partners to help us figure out after 75 years if it was Colonel Mustard in the conservatory with the candlestick.“

Clue was previously adapted in 1985, featuring an ensemble cast that included Tim Curry, Christopher Lloyd, Madeline Kahn, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, Lesley Ann Warren, and Colleen Camp. Surprisingly, this has been the only Clue movie, but it’s not for lack of trying.

Sony is the latest player that would like to make an accusation. The studio has won the rights to develop a reimagining of the Hasbro board game “Clue,” and the studio intends to bring the murder mystery game to the screen for both film and television.
Hollywood has been trying to remake “Clue,” first adapted in Jonathan Lynn’s cult classic screwball comedy “Clue” from 1985, for years. Most recently, a project was set up at 20th Century Studios, and it had Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman circling to star along with “The Muppets Movie” filmmaker James Bobin directing. In 2022, Oren Uziel (“The Lost City”) stepped up to rewrite the original draft of the script from Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (“Deadpool”), but it too went nowhere.

‘Fly Me to the Moon’ trailer lets Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum play among the stars [Watch]
“Fly Me to the Moon,” a Space Race-set romantic comedy starring two-time Oscar nominee Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, is about to blast off. On Monday, Apple TV+ released a trailer for the film, which lands on screens this summer via a distribution deal with Sony Pictures.
“Fly Me to the Moon” tells a fictitious story set in the late ‘60s during the lead-up to the Moon Landing. Johansson, who also serves as a producer, stars as Kelly Jones, a marketing mastermind hired by NASA to improve the space program’s image. She has professional and romantic tension with Cole Davis (Tatum), a by-the-book launch commander. Things get really wild when Jones is ordered to film a fake moon landing, just in case the real one doesn’t work. And yes, there is a Stanley Kubrick joke.

Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum lead an ensemble cast in Greg Berlanti’s comedy about the moon landing. Watch the first Fly Me To The Moon trailer.
Before she (reportedly) heads off to Jurassic City, Scarlett Johansson has a pit stop to make; the moon.
Well, kind of, at least. Johansson stars alongside Channing Tatum in Greg Berlanti’s new comedy about a team faking the moon landing, in case the real mission goes awry.
Take a look at the trailer.
It’s all in good fun, but there is a disturbing amount of theories about the moon landing being fake, so the film’s premise is certainly a juicy one.
Here’s the official synopsis: Starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, Fly Me To The Moon is a sharp, stylish comedy-drama set against the high-stakes backdrop of NASA’s historic Apollo 11 moon landing. Brought in to fix NASA’s public image,...

All things space-related seem to be on the mind lately thanks to this month's solar eclipse carving a wide path through the United States, so Apple TV+ is taking advantage of the universe's spectacular sense of timing by pushing out its marketing campaign for its next buzzy-sounding original movie. "Fly Me to the Moon" certainly seems like an out-of-this-world experience (sorry), but it also evokes the luscious and downright romantic emotions of the classic Frank Sinatra song of the same name, too. Turns out, that was no accident.
But even Ol' Blue Eyes has nothing on the premise of "Fly Me to the Moon," which involves achieving impossible feats like making NASA sound cool to the general public, movie stars like Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson finding love amid the unrelenting pressure of the 1960s space race, and -- oh yeah -- landing humans on our orbiting lunar neighbor. Failing that,...

Sony and Apple have released the first trailer for “Fly Me to the Moon,” a romantic comedy starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, which is set to premiere on July 12. The film is set against the 1960s space race and features Johansson as a marketing exec hired by NASA to film a fake moon landing in case the real mission fails. Apple won the project in a $100 million deal following a bidding war in 2022, and the project was formerly known as “Project Artemis.”
Chris Evans was first set to play Tatum’s role, while Oscar nominee Johansson — who also produces — has been attached to the film since its inception. Jason Bateman was originally set as the film’s director but left the project due to creative differences. His exit altered the shooting schedule and meant Evans could not complete the project and Netflix’s “Pain Hustlers” at the same time.

Here is a look at Beets and who we think this duo is on The Masked Singer.
Beets On The Masked Singer
The Beets came out as a duo and sang the song, “Home” by Michael Buble. Their performance was well-received and they moved on to the next rounds without worrying about being unmasked this week. When Nick Cannon asked them who they liked from The Wizard of Oz, they said Dorothy and Toto, thanks to their loyalty and friendship.
As for their clue package, they said “Home for us has been wherever we’re together.

They took to the stage for the first time on the March 13 episode and won over the audience and judges Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Rita Ora and Robin Thicke with their cover of the Michael Buble hit “Home.”

It was no surprise when they revealed, “We’re the best of friends and we’re pretty good co-stars too.” That latter phrase led two of the judges down the wrong path with their guesses of Will Arnett & Jason Bateman (Rita) and Steve Martin & Martin Short (Robin). CAA is adding to its ranks.
The agency has hired Saraphina Monaco as an agent in its television talent department. She’ll be based at CAA’s Century City office and will focus on identifying and creating acting opportunities for the agency’s comedy touring clients — which includes several A-list comedians — in film and television.
Monaco joins CAA from A3 Artists Agency, where she spent five years as a talent agent in its theatrical division. The agency ceased operations in February. The condensed calendar, forced by last year’s dual strikes, could translate to more lively bashes, however, as there’s light at the end of the tunnel with Sunday’s Oscars. That can only mean that champagne is currently popping at A-list bashes across Los Angeles, and The Hollywood Reporter is on the scene everywhere from Vanity Fair and Elton John to MPTF’s Night Before. See below for the roundup of all the red carpet action.
