Victoria Beckham celebrated her 39th birthday with her family at Nobu restaurant in London last night. Victoria's oldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, was next to her as they left the restaurant along with his brothers, Romeo and Cruz, as well as Posh's parents, Jackie and Anthony Adams. Victoria and her kids landed in London on Monday ahead of her special day, but dad David wasn't able to attend. David was on the field last night with Paris Saint-Germain as they took on, and ultimately tied, the team from Evian. There was more love coming Victoria's way yesterday - her former Spice Girl bandmates took to Twitter to send her birthday wishes despite recent reports that they were "disappointed" she didn't join them at the Viva Forever premiere in London last December. Melanie Chisholm, for one, wrote, "Happy Birthday to the beautiful Victoria Beckham. Have a lovely day darling!" View Slideshow ›...

Last year’s Moonrise Kingdom was inarguably auteur director Wes Anderson’s most accessible film and received widespread critical acclaim. That said, his style is an acquired taste, and those who have acquired it continue to disagree when the subject turns to ranking his best films. Ranking his work, however, hinges on the successful combination of composition and performance. Anderson’s best films perfectly balance his familiar tropes with moving portrayals of human foibles and vulnerability.
The overall appeal of Wes Anderson films lies in their unique presentation, unity of vision, and endearingly asocial characters. The main criticism of Anderson’s work has been that his style is repetitive. This critique ignores the benefits of a self-possessed style and unity of vision, something to which many filmmakers only aspire. Anderson films consistently depict the universal dysfunctionality of characters and employ simple vertical and horizontal pans, lingering static shots, and an...

David Beckham was sporting a star scarf as he left his hotel in London today. He's been on the go in the UK all week as he promotes his new bodywear collection for H&M. David launched the underwear line at the brand's flagship store yesterday and celebrated the exciting project with a bash last night. He started at the Henry Moore Courtyard, where he was joined by Victoria's parents, Jackie and Anthony Adams, and his own mom and dad, Sandra and Ted. Victoria's sister, Louise, Emma Bunton, and Tana Ramsay also came out to show their support and pick up goodie bags full of samples. David continued the party at The Arts Club with best friend James Corden, who apparently stayed out until three in the morning with David. View Slideshow ›...

[Editor's Note: Lone Star Cinema is a new series in which we look at Austin and Texas-shot/set movies that are available on DVD, Blu-ray or online.]
While some filmmakers need a few films to their credit before developing their styles, Wes Anderson's joyously skewed cinematic vision has been evident from the start of his career. Anderson's first feature, Bottle Rocket, has all the hallmarks of his later movies -- quirky characters, the presence of one or more Wilson brothers (in this case, three of them), an unlikely but somehow believable story (at least within Anderson's cinematic world) and a cheerful pop-music soundtrack, to name but a few.
Released in 1996 and based on an earlier short film with the same title, Bottle Rocket is the story of three Texas friends with grandiose plans to go on a crime spree, a goal for which they are wholly and hilariously unqualified. The plot revolves around Anthony Adams (Luke Wilson), who -- upon his release from a mental hospital -- joins his friend Dignan (Owen Wilson, who also co-wrote...

Justin Cohen, Elliott Bisnow, and Jeff Rosenthal, aboard the Celebrity Century.
In 2008 Elliot Bisnow, an entrepreneur with several companies to his name, started Summit Series, an "un-conference conference" that would serve as a mutual aid society for young entrepreneurs. It started with 19 people on a ski trip, and has grown to the more than 750 people who attended their latest event in May. Part networking, part Ted, part extreme sports, these invitation-only events have become the epicenter of social entrepreneurship.
And along the way, Summit Series had raised over $1.5 million for not-for-profits. Participants include Bill Clinton, Russell Simmons, Sean Parker, Mark Cuban, Ted Turner, and John Legend. But just as important are the hundreds of young change-makers. Bisnow, 25, with fellow members Jeff Rosenthal, 26, and Justin Cohen, 23, talked with us about Summit's mission, its phenomenal growth, what it takes to succeed. And they gave us a sneak preview of their most ambitious...

Miley Cyrus has come under fire from anti-drugs campaigners, who have criticized the teenage star after she was caught on camera allegedly smoking a hallucinogenic legal high. A video of the Hannah Montana singer/actress puffing on a bong emerged online on Friday, December 10, much to the dismay of her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, who insisted he was saddened by the footage.
The 18 year old, who is shown giggling and babbling incoherently in the film, is said to have been smoking controversial but legal psychoactive plant Salvia, and experts are already stepping forward to condemn Cyrus' actions.
Former California State Assemblyman, Anthony Adams, who attempted to have the substance banned in the state back in 2007, is adamant the young star is setting a bad example. He tells TMZ.com, "You do incredibly crazy things (under the influence of Salvia). Miley is a star and young kids are going to emulate her behavior.

Miley Cyrus' father Billy Ray Cyrus has expressed his disappointment with her for being seen smoking a legal high.
The Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker - who is currently divorcing wife Tish - took to twitter following the video of 18-year-old Miley smoking salvia from a bong. He wrote: 'Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. I'm so sad. There is so much beyond my control right now.'
Anthony Adams - a former California State Assemblyman who previously tried to ban the drug in his state - believes salvia, which is legal in a number of Us stars, can make people do 'crazy' things and has blasted her for being irresponsible to her legions of young fans.

Harry Connick, Jr will act as the celebrity mentor for American Idol hopefuls this week, as they attempt to out their own spin on some Frank Sinatra songs.
The New Orleans singer is well versed in the art of covering a Sinatra tune, having covered many in his albums and concerts to date.
This could be an awful wee for the five remaining contestants as these swing numbers are so well known and often iconic tunes and often singers give a boring but true rendition or they mix it up so much that they destroy the classic song.
We think that Big Mike can totally pull off one of Ol’ Blue Eyes’ songs but Casey James may not be so lucky and will it lead to frontrunner Crystal Bowersox having another bad week?
What Sinatra songs would you like to hear the Crystal Bowersox, Mike Lynche, Casey James, Aaron Kelly and Lee DeWyze sing?...

"Bob's gone! He stole his car!"
Photo: Columbia Pictures Home Entertainment Have you ever been separated from your friends or family at the supermarket and had to be summoned via overhead speaker, because "your party" was waiting for you? You duck your head, pretending it isn't you, pretending you just wanted to saunter to the front of the store at just that moment. But you know they know. Everyone knows. Why did you leave your cell phone in the car? Well, if you had seen today's overlooked classic, the Wes Anderson-Owen Wilson-Luke Wilson cherry-popper, Bottle Rocket, you could have spared yourself the shame of hearing your name mispronounced on that Whole Foods loudspeaker. Because then, had you been faced with flaxseed on your right, quinoa on your left and friends nowhere around you, you would have known the solution. Just call out, "Ca-caw, ca-caw!" Your friends,...

Echelon Entertainment has picked up rights to the true-story spec script Double Destiny from writers Anthony Leigh Adams and Christina Adams in a six-figure deal. Destiny tells the story of identical twin brothers -- one raised as a Nazi, the other as a Jew. Separated as infants by a mother who could only return with one child to Nazi Germany while the other remained with his Jewish father to grow up in Trinidad, the twins don't meet until years later. On her deathbed, the mother desperately wants to reunite the twins, and their participation in a landmark study of identical twins raised in different environments provides this opportunity. The project is being produced by Echelon's Billy Blake and Gloria Morrison.
