After years of mostly sitting on the sidelines of the digital land grab, Viacom has gotten serious about investing in an online future for its stable of youth-skewing TV properties like MTV, Nickelodeon, Bet and Comedy Central.
A cornerstone of CEO Bob Bakish’s digital road map is Viacom Digital Studios, led by president Kelly Day, a longtime digital-media exec whom Bakish hired in the fall of 2017. “A lot of people at the time were like, ‘Is Viacom really serious about this digital thing?’” says Day.

Meet Necar Zadegan, one of the stars of Fox's freshman drama "Rake." Her previous credits include "24" and "The Event," but now she's swapping action thrillers for courtroom cases and comedy.
"I play Scarlet, Scarlet Leon," says Zadegan, in this exclusive first-look video at Zap2it. "Scarlet and Ben (John Oritz) are married. They've known Keegan (Greg Kinnear) for a very long time. They all went to law school together, so she comes up against Keegan regularly in court. He is so good at what he does and she's really good too, but he finds all kinds of backdoors."
Ortiz adds that the three of them have a wacky, if symbiotic relationship, but somehow it works. "I think they might be even more compatible as a trio than as a duo," says Ortiz.
