While Paul is celebrated as one of the promising wrestlers in the company, Ronda Rousey has slammed WWE for giving the YouTuber special treatment. However, fans sided with Paul, whom they acknowledged as a greater WWE wrestler than Rousey.

As of this writing, there have been well over 400 WrestleMania matches since the event began back in 1985. Since then, countless WWE wrestlers (and even a couple celebrities) have battled it out in so many different ways and with quality that runs the gamut from unwatchable to undeniable. In what is supposed to be WWE’s biggest annual show, some matches fall short, but others rise to the occasion and put together some unforgettable performances.
But today we’re celebrating the very best matches WrestleMania has ever offered wrestling fans. But first, some ground rules. First, as there are so many WrestleManias to cover, we are only going to allow one entry per event. The modern shows with two nights of festivities will only count as one combined event. Second, to keep things from becoming repetitive, there will be no match redundancies. If two wrestlers battled it out in multiple WrestleManias,...

Wrestling fans are really furious with Aew star Darby Allin, who recently insulted Kurt Angle—a big figure in the WWE Hall of Fame.
Angle is considered one of the all-time wrestling greats. He proved his real wrestling chops by snagging an Olympic Gold Medal in freestyle wrestling at the 1996 Olympics despite having a broken neck.

After over 30 years and 1500 episodes, it was announced today that WWE's flagship program, "Raw," (or "Monday Night Raw") is exiting the linear television landscape and becoming a streaming exclusive for Netflix. The streaming juggernaut will become the exclusive new home for "Raw" starting in January 2025 in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Latin America, among other territories. Over time, more regions will be added as part of the deal. Eventually, the other WWE weekly programs like "SmackDown" and "Nxt" will also join the Netflix family once their existing deals with USA Network and The CW expire, as will additional programming like documentaries, original series, and other future projects.
Considering WWE has its own production studio, it would be unsurprising if Netflix became the new exclusive distributor of WWE Studios, although this has yet to be confirmed. But what is potentially the biggest get outside of "Raw" is...

You can’t see him but his time for retirement may soon be now, as 16-time WWE world champion John Cena says he can see hanging up the boots – and jorts – in his future.
Speaking with People, John Cena said bidding farewell to the squared circle is imminent. “I turned [46] this past year and I don’t have much time left in the WWE…I think it’s just the demand of the age.” As for how and when he thinks his wrestling career will be over, he added, “You know, I’m trying to figure out when to close that chapter.”
Based on the fact that John Cena has been a part-time free agent (not to be confused with Freelance wrestler) for quite some time now – his most recent match was a loss at November’s Crown Jewel – it wouldn’t be a surprise if 2024 was his year for departing WWE.

Fight scenes in movies are a serious, carefully managed undertaking, especially when they're shot in a way that doesn't allow for the actors to rely on stunt people. Filmmakers obviously value authenticity, but they also don't want their onscreen talent getting injured to such a degree that they wind up in a hospital, thus delaying the completion of the movie and, likely, jacking up the budget. This gets tricky when you're working with actors who want to prove their physical mettle and perhaps outshine their co-star. And when this competition is baked into the drama, well, there's a potential for things to go a little haywire.
There are extreme examples like Jackie Chan and Benny "The Jet" Urquidez's all-out brawls in "Wheels on Meal" and "Dragons Forever," but these men are trained combatants. It's a little different when, say, Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo hit the mat in Bennett Miller's depressing true-crime drama "Foxcatcher.

Revealing that his last alcoholic beverage was six months ago, Hogan said: “I don’t drink alcohol at all. It got to be a way to numb me a little bit, because I had a bunch of crazy business problems and personal stuff going on,” he explained. “And I caught myself after I would train, getting too aggressive with alcohol. WWE legend, Bushwhacker Butch, has died at the age of 78.
His death was announced on Monday by his longtime tag team partner, Luke Williams, who revealed Butch passed after a brief illness.
On Friday, the New Zealand professional wrestler, whose real name is Bob Miller, was hospitalized in the ICU after arriving in Los Angeles for WrestleMania, which Williams said resulted from a “situation with medication.”

WWE 2K23 features quite a few improvements to the franchise formula that will certainly be welcomed by wrestling game fans everywhere. Of course, some things never change, which means that WWE 2K23 still makes you unlock quite a few wrestlers via gameplay accomplishments and by spending both real and virtual currency.
The very good news is that WWE 2K23 makes the various unlock processes fairly painless. The problem is that the game doesn’t always do a great job of telling you exactly how to unlock those wrestlers or the best way to go about acquiring all of them. Hopefully, we can help ease that part of the unlock system just a bit.
How to Unlock Every WWE 2K23 Wrestler With Virtual Currency
The vast majority of wrestlers in WWE 2K23 are unlocked via the game’s Virtual Currency (Vc) system. Every wrestler available via the in-game store costs 1,000 Vc to unlock.

Josh Alexander has become the Longest-Reigning Impact Wrestling World Champion of All-Time. He claimed the title on April 23rd 2022, at the Rebellion pay-per-view, defeating Moose. He has now been the World Champion for 257 consecutive days, surpassing Bobby Roode’s 256-day World Championship run that started on October 26th 2011.
With his history-making title reign, Josh Alexander has established himself as one of the best pro wrestlers of all-time. He even endured a serious neck injury along the way that required two vertebrae be fused together. Alexander, 35, made his pro wrestling debut in 2005 and was signed by Impact in early-2019. He has been the Impact X Division Champion and is a two-time Impact World Tag Team Champion as The North, a team that also was record-setting.

Kurt Angle issued an “Open Challenge” on the June 27, 2002 episode of WWE SmackDown. A relative unknown, looking carved out of granite, in red and black tights would answer the call. That newcomer’s name was John Cena. The defiant newcomer stood face-to-face with an Olympic gold medalist. Even though the upstart didn’t win his debut match, he gained something perhaps far greater long-term. The future 16-time world champ and Hollywood heavyweight turned heads and gained the respect of a respected veteran. Cena would induct Angle into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017. Fast forward to today and the leader of the Cenation will celebrate his 20th anniversary appearing on the June 27 episode of Raw. Here Angle reflects on that first meeting with Cena, their future encounters, and his legacy in the business. WWE When did you find out you were working with a debuting John Cena? Before becoming a huge movie star, John Cena’s life was essentially WWE. The former 13-time WWE Champion has certainly made his mark within professional wrestling; however, many fans aren’t exactly fond of the era featuring John Cena. The WWE star had an interesting debut back in 2002, with his first appearance being against WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle. It was a great way to expose the rookie by pitting him against the main event star, even if Cena came out on the losing end. WWE 2K has been a bizarre franchise up until this point. As the WWE games series went from SmackDown to SmackDown vs. Raw to WWE 2K, the titles themselves gradually morphed into a chaotic attempt by their various developers to keep building on the foundation just enough to keep players interested year after year. When WWE 2K15 came out, the series clearly stumbled in a desperate attempt to start over. The series’ engine was eventually redesigned from the ground up, and things felt like they were back to square one. In the process, though, so many match types, the Create-a-Wrestler function, and other bells and whistles had to be cut or simplified so the franchise could start from scratch. The WWE 2K teams built on that fresh start across the following several games, and while we’re still missing legacy features like the wonderfully bonkers Create-a-Story mode, the series feels...

While we haven’t been able to spend quite enough time with WWE 2K22 to fairly share something closer to a full verdict on the overall game, it is safe to say that it is absolutely the best WWE game in the last few years from a technical and gameplay perspective. Admittedly, that’s a pretty low bar to clear given the many, many issues that have plagued WWE games in recent years, but WWE 2K22’s generally improved performance and smart gameplay changes make it significantly easier to appreciate the ways it taps into the simpler pleasures of some of the best wrestling games ever made.
Having said that, WWE 2K22 also features one of the worst fighting game rosters I’ve ever seen and certainly one of the worst (and weirdest) rosters in the history of pro wrestling games.
