1926, Aline Bermstein is credited as the first woman professional stage
designer.
Won the Tony award for costuming in 1950 for Regina.
Won Broadway's 1950 Best Costumes Tony Award for "Regina."
Her father was an actor, Joseph Frankau, who was cousin of Arthur Frankau, the father of Gilbert Frankau and Ronald Frankau.
